I don't think it ****es him off. Diaz probably admires this guy. Secretly wishes he could be his assistant or something like that lol.

Or he wishes he had kept that Temple job. This job was too big for him. He bit off more than he could chew, flew too close to the sun, and paid the price.

But it's not the end for Diaz. He needs to do what Mario did. Go be around some big programs. Go get mentored. Improve and develop yourself.

He's not a bad guy. Definitely a hard worker. Wish him the best.

the thing that probably stings more is that we didn't have a massive wave of transfers and decommits hit immediately after he was fired like oklahoma (and to a lesser degree, oregon) did. that's generally a sign that the current roster and incoming prospects had a lot of faith in you. looks the opposite for manny.

It's highly unlikely he's upset his guys are getting coached by Mario. Let it go. He got the hook after 3 seasons. The stuff he was experimenting with, and learning on the job are things that need to be tried at Temple, where if they fail and cost you a game or two, it goes mostly unnoticed for several years. Costly lesson for both sides. That's all there is to say.

I don't blame Manny for accepting the position, Blake James was at fault for offering the job.
