How much better will we be physically next year?

Playing so many freshmen makes for a strange year. But, I think this is going to pay off big time. You can tell a kid how important it is to get bigger and stronger, and they will work to do that in the off season. But, when those kids are getting pushed around, and see the pounding D-1 football exposes you to FIRST HAND, it takes the realization to another level. They don't have to motivate themselves based on theory. They now KNOW from personal experience what it's going to take to be successful at this level.

This team is going to way better physically next year.

Totally agree. Another strong off-season and I think this team can really start imposing their will on the ACC. The last few games especially have been extremely physical, and for the first time in what seems like ages, I've noticed OPPONENTS looking winded and beat up instead of us...

We hopefully have quite a few legit impact freshmen coming in next year too, so that will help with depth/conditioning.

its gonna pay huge dividends. These kids who will all be sophomores and juniors will be seasoned vets. This entire offseason will be about busting ***. I'm very excited about the how much strength and speed will be improved.

But wait till 2014 tho...ZOMG

Bih physical jump from year 1 to year 2 for a kid. And we have a lot of year 1 kids.

I got my eye on Deon Bush and Duke.

You have to raise an eyebrow when you see such physical transformations as these kids have gone through over the last year or two. Also if you remember it was Duke constantly tweeting other players about working out this spring and summer, talking about putting in work.

McCord is another one obviously, but I think Bush and Duke are going to turn heads physically next year, even moreso than they already have.

Holy Crap. If Duke and Bush turn heads much more than they did this year - gonna be a lot of strained necks all across the nation.

These are the mindsets that exemplify the actual ability to play 110%, when the concept seems impossible. Five more like this anywhere on the team - and we're truly back to the old days of superhuman performances.

Don't leave out Howard. Get gets a little bit more weight and strength And no doubt he starts next year. He's looked good when he has played this year

Wait until McCord gains 25 lbs. for his sophomore year...

Other players I'll be interested in seeing physically develop (no homo): Tracy Howard, Jelani Hamilton, Rashawn Scott (if he can add 10+ lbs. he will be a beast), Raphael Kirby, Deon Bush, Jenkins, Gabe Terry.

The point is that none of our true freshmen have had the advantage of even one Utough session. Bush and Duke have AA potential. It could happen as early as next season.

I love the outlook for 2013. It's feels good to see real development with this program. I just wish the NCAA would get the sanctions crap over with already.

Yeah lots of guys of course. I just mean going back both Bush and Duke made big strides from their JR to SR years in high school and then continued that trend through this year. Both guys were adament about hard work in the weight room, with guys like McCord and Jenkins there too.

Sounds good. Beat Virginia, self-impose. Onto next year!

Go Canes!

Sel-Impose our way out of the ACCCG?

Correct. There are several other threads arguing for or against this. I am on the take the medicine now train. This thread about much better we will be next year is one of the reasons why.

IMO - ending the season 8-4 with a self-imposed bowl ban does more for the program's future than winning the Coastal, then losing to FSU and playing in the ****eater Bowl with 5 losses.

Risk/Reward

Yes, we have very slim chance to beat fsu, we are not BCS bowl level either.
Better day is ahead. This team will have a bright future.

Please tell me you trying to troll???

Do you realize the extra practice time/recruiting benefits/media attention we would get from our FIRST EVER ACCCG appearance?

Yep, that seals it, ya'all ****** gotta be trolling.
