How Many CIS Laws of Recruiting Can Mario Eradicate?

Thanks to Jalen Brown for the reminder. Added another CIS recruiting law to the OP.

16. 5* SFL Receivers are mercenaries and will never commit/play for UM.

Breaking this law might be harder than pulling a DT out of LA or Bama that the Tide AND L$U want. Harder even that pulling a kid out of Lakeland. And more frustrating than all previous 14 laws.

There have been exceptions to this in the past though. Didn't Corn Elder sign a LOI w/o a visit? Ditto for Keyshawn Smith.
Yes to both of these. I’d say they differ from Brown/Aguirre a bit because of the timing of the decisions and how they announced them.
Keyshawn more so than Corn (Corn - basketball + post nsd factors, key - change of Wash St. HC, field + manny do in-home visit before commitment)

Corn’s recruitment breaks the rule more than Keyshawn Imo. I think for the rule to be valid there has to be schools on the same playing field as Miami who really want the recruit, which Corn had

Over the years, we have a number of fundamental assumptions when it comes to recruiting. How many of these will Mario eradicate with his relentless recruiting and which one(s) do you think are the hardest?

  1. You can't pull a 4*/5* RB from LA that L$U wants. (Citizen)
  2. You can't pull a 4*/5* DT from LA that L$U wants.
  3. You can't pull a 4*/5* DT from Alabama that the Tide wants.
  4. You can't pull a 4*/5* CB from Alabama that the Tide wants.
  5. You can't pull an elite kid from Lakeland.
  6. Elite CB's and DEs from Heritage will always make a business decision
  7. Elite CBs from Broward will always make a business decision (Antione Jackson)
  8. Can't pull an elite recruit from Dwyer. (this solved itself with Jack Daniels leaving and Al Shipman replacing him).
  9. We only get scraps from IMG. Elite IMG recruits only sign with $EC teams (Skinner, Mauigoa, Riley and hopefully more)
  10. Kids don't decommit from Clemson/Dabo and the definitely don't flip to UM if they decommit (Ray Ray)
  11. Elite OTs don't consider Miami (Mauigoa)
  12. Multiple Elite OTs definitely won't commit in the same recruiting class.
  13. Canes can no longer recruit nationally for multiple elite recruits in the same class
  14. Canes can only have highly rated classes if the vast majority of the commits are from SFL.
  15. Once a recruit's page his 250+ pages, they're not coming.
  16. 5* SFL Receivers are mercenaries and will never commit/play for UM.
  17. Follow the visits. No official visit, no commit.
Also, if you can think of other recruiting taboos, let me know.
LAW 17 about to be shattered

one law that no one at UM can break.

You can't sign a kid to UM and expect his ratings go up. At best they stay the same, at worst they go down (a lot).

9. You can't get LuCane to believe you can have two elite OTackle prospects in one recruiting class.

I don't know how to put this into a law that Mario can break. This might just be an unalterable law of the universe .

Added this CIS recruiting law from @AUcane's post

18. Multiple (3x) elite DE/Edges will not commit in the same recruiting cycle.

no, mpemba, harbor and Wilson won’t all commit to us. It’s a completely unrealistic scenario

Just bookmarking this thread speculating that we've got a shot with not one but TWO elite kids from Lakeland. I'd say the percentages of this happening are infinitesimal, but just in case, rule #5 would be obliterated permanently if it did.

5. You can't pull an elite kid from Lakeland.

Aldarius Johnson was the last one.
