How in the world do we get Manny to lose the chains and rings?

The problem wasn’t chains and rings. They do not defeat TEAM. All the players join in the celebration. It is major team building. You might as well do away with any individual acts by kids who get a turnover or score a TD. Just do the boring thing and handle the ball to the ref and walk off the field quietly. That is so not Miami. It isn’t any team.

You should watch the 30 for 30 called the U. Lamar ripping off his helmet sure looked like a solo project. The kids thought up small group dances. It wasn’t organic. It was Miami. The TEAM loved it.

If you want to argue it’s corny, that’s a different discussion. The chain is really the granddaddy of em all. Rings are less cool. True.

Zero problem with individualism, in the context of a team goal (you're an integral cog in that wheel). Nobody else's play, on the field, is going to get you to the next level. The problem is that it looks like a bad video. Fvck the gimmicks - do your GD job, recognize effort and let the W be your award.

I don’t want to tell Murphy that his turnover recovery really didn’t warrant a chain. Let the kids have fun. Just push em harder to win also.

No one complained about the chains during the Notre Dame game or the UNC game last year. It also does not portray individualism because the entire defense is rallied around the guy wearing it. But the rings can go. That clearly did not work.

Chain is fine, but the rings, I'm not a fan of. It's just the nature of the beast, offense (in theory) scores more so it's too common.

He shouldn't never lose the chain nor stop tweeting. Those are recruiting tools that every smart coach uses so y'all can keep b*tching. When we win these 10 games I want him right back on that yacht and crashing coaches clinics too.

Y'all say y'all want a Miami guy and the cry when he acts Miami.

How do we get across to him that these things need to go? It portrays individualism and not the "team first" attitude we want and need.
Plus they tired as fck when you we are losing to FIU, La Tech. and everyone else. They are a joke.
Maybe we need a billboard for that. :p

Maybe he will figure it out on his owe, what do y'all think? Will he?

kids and the media love them, so they're probably not going anywhere. Besides, they really didn't seem to present a problem when we're winning. It's just another dumb red herring for people to get annoyed at. Like the uniforms. We have the old school uniforms now and they're really not helping us win any games. We were better with the ugly Adidas ones.

live in Atl. everyone "laughs" at TO chain. in essence FAKE SWAG" also screams LOOK AT ME, part of problem with team

Clemson, Bama, UGA, do not survive on fake swag they execute. still remember P.Chyrst of Whisky
being caught saying -uck the TO chain first time they whipped us.
if CMD truly wants to build a team CAN THE CHAIN.... R.Lewis, M.Irvin,E.Reed. S.Taylor
they did not need fake swag, they let their game be their swag
part of Cuban culture doubtful.... as well

If we’re winning.. I see no issues.. the rings is a little lame.. but just win idc lol

true enough this does represent Miami of past 15 years, self centered, under achieving & weak mentally teams
R.Lewis, W.Sapp, M.Irvin, E.Reed, S.taylor they did not need fake swag. their play was their swag.
swag is stopping a team on 4th and 17 (NC game) swag is fielding punt inside 10 yard line vs. fumbling the ball(Gators)
swag is making tough catch in end zone against UF rather than a drop. swag is showing up a drilling FIU with 3-4 quick scores rather than have B.Davis absolutely school you for 60 minutes.
he shows up with any more juvenile pranks like FSU someone on his staff will get punched out.
in the past there was respect , now the laugh at the program
WIN SOME **** GAMES is what Randy McMichaels TE with Dolphins recently commented.

Pretty much... Best part of the chain, outside of the player who gets it, is the team celebrating around the player on the sideline right after. If we're winning and being consistently productive on defense (like we were 2 and 3 years ago), I don't see the issue with it. Hit Stick, Bust ****, Talk ****. Whether it's a chain or a dance, Miami should be winning and talking **** about it.

You cant have rings and chains and then lose to a team like FIU. We should put them away permanently. If TNM is anything like the 'old miami' then straight up pounding the team across the field from you, plus some 'talking', should be enough.

Maybe keep the rings and chain but If a TD is scored or we create a turnover only the *** dancers can wear them while dancing and yucking it up on the sideline

Manny needs a jeweled butt plug to get the point.
