How good was Dwayne the Rock Johnson?

He actually was a talented player who had a bright future ahead of him until he tore his ACL. He never fully recovered. He could have been playing tackle next to Sapp.

He wasn't even close to better than Patrick Riley. The 1994 defense was not the same when Riley was lost for the season, and nothing was more apparent than the 1995 Orange Bowl game. Sapp was a man among boys but they kept double teaming him until he worn down. They didn't respect our other tackles. With Riley Nebraska would have had to account for him. Patrick was a very good college tackle.

I remember Riley, he was very good. Despite his injury, he was good enough to be drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round by the Browns? Or maybe the Chiefs. I know Bennett was drafted in the 3rd by KC and had some pretty good years in that offense.

Minnesota.

There's a scene in Fast 7 where the Rock's character is laying in a hospital bed, watching a football game. The game on TV is the 93 Miami/FSU game. It's him sacking Charlie Ward.

Only real canes would of noticed that

He was strong but had slow feet.

Interesting. His position coach, Bob Karmelowicz told me after he signed that Dwayne was fast. They were thin at DT and asked him to skip the Big 33 game in Pennsylvania and start school over the summer. Probably had higher hopes that were never realized, or that they were fairly desperate. Sapp emerged during fall practice and became one of the best ever.

If he hadn't gotten injured who knows. Maybe good but not great. In any case I'm sure he'd be long forgotten and even people on this board wouldn't now who the **** Dwayne Johnson was if he hadn't become a WWE star.
