I can't WAIT to see his wunderlick score at the combine.....
Channing Crowder was a disaster at UF and he got a 30 on the Wunderlic. I bet Winston will score well, he's book smart.

Mentioned it in another thread.
Jimbo designs plays for one read. That one player is open by play design and thus makes it look easy, especially in a pro-system.
This why Ponder and Ej Manuel are hot garbage in the NFL and were exceptional in NCAA. No full field awareness. Last year he had studs receivers (as shown by Kalvin Benjamin looking good for Carolina too) so they made him look real good too.
Name me one QB in the NFL that Jimbo coached that is good? LSU? Nope!
Like another poster said, pretty slow delivery, still has a bit of a baseball wind up. Not particularly great pocket presence, he's just athletic, rather then aware of the pocket. (Think the difference between RG3 and Andrew Luck)
I expect him to take the same path as Manuel.

so why can't defenses stop this?

Almost all defenses stop it for awhile at least.
Auburn was running away and hiding with the National Championship
Notre Dame defense was very effective in Tallahassee
Louisville was outstanding in the first half and for the majority of the game (bad bounces and a dumb play by Holliman cost them)
NC State was owning in the 1st half
It's the adjustments. Jimbo makes adjustments to the game plan at halftime and voila, problem solved. Most staffs don't readjust.
Good enough to win the heisman as a redshirt freshmen and be a top 5 pick next season.
And that's with all the off field stuff so imagine.

Ben roethlisberger type , good talent and an incredible competitor

He got away with some really bad decisions against Louisville.
