Coach Kool is arguably the best dline coach in the country. We have elite talent at every position on the dline. AQM is one of the best DEs in the country, speed and beast combined. DT is loaded as well for the 1st time in years. No wait and see needed.... im just doing the math, the dline will be one of the best in the country, thats automatic.

We dont have elite talent at dt. Aqm hasnt proven to be one of the best DEs so thats pure opinion. Dt isnt loaded. Willis, mcintosh, norton, jenkins and moten and thats all. None of those guys would start at dt for clemson or ohio st, uf, fsu, bama, and etc.

Nah you just dont know **** about football. Clemson got 2 dts who wil be 1st or 2nd round picks and one is only a sophmore. Christmas and nadi at fsu would be starters here at dt, brantley at uf might be a 1st round pick, allen at bama is a 1st round pick pontetially, godchaeux at lsu will get drafted in first 2 rounds.

Those guys have actually produced on the field and are not just hyped up by a fan base who think everybody on the team is "elite" because a couple guys were barely 4 star recruits.

Goldens recruiting wasn't weak what he did with players after they got on campus Schematically and in the training rooms was weak
He recruited fast twitch attacking style players then made them resemble the PSU style teams he played on, if you look at the film from the Fiesta bowl he and D'onfrio played in against Miami, the Defense was actually very similar to what they instituted here

The CB's will not be as bad as most because many of them have great talent, playing in a defense that causes stress on the offense will make a world of difference, most CB's that are on the roster played man press in HS, T. Howard was the #1 CB in HS because he played man press with outstanding technique and leverage even Nick Saban thought so however the previous staff wanted read and react tacklers in a defense predicated on keeping everything in front and waiting for a mistake like Over throws and drops to get the offense in a bad situation

This scheme and the pressure we all assume will be placed on opposing offenses by the d line should not allow things like double moves by the wr's

this teams concern on defense is how well the LB's tackle, get off blocks, decipher and clean up misdirection, screens and draws

For example just so u can see my point too, if we got four lineman that are five star and lets say fkin byu got two star and three on theres. If two of byu players are projected first rounders then the evals were wrong, if our guys dont perform they never deserved the five star ranking.

U think chad thomas is really a five star player? Saban would make that boy trabsfer like he did just recently to a five star. If that five star was good he wouldnt let him go

Whats wrong with people is they stay with that ranking even when the dudes in college for three years and ****. As far as im concerned u a zero star after HS prove it, cfb is different then hs i dont care what comp they played in its not cfb.

We know what we're getting in Kool. Let's hope Searels is half as good.

Until proven otherwise, I'd say the OL is a major liability. The DL showed flashed last year under a scheme that didn't allow them to "succeed" in ways Diaz and Kool will coach and call. They should provide more negative plays just from these alone. In turn, even if the OL remains awful to sub par at best, at least the O unit will get more chances per game to put points on the board...

You're trying to hard man...really. You act like a line of 4 & 5stars ratings in high school is an automatic at the next level. All you're doing is talking about how many stars they had before playing at the next level. The fact of the matter is, is that none of these players have even shown a hint of being "elite." Seriously, you throw that term around a little too loosely. To be elite you should be at the top of your competition, not mediocre to half way good in production. To you, no production...doesn't matter. 4 or 5 stars out of high school = elite.
