How extensive is our NIL network?

also - Miami announces contract extensions for coach l and Meier, fires an oc with 1.8 m remaining pending for cause negotiation, a 100M+ football facility, on the heals of announcing a collective (wait last summer) that now with new Florida legislation they can actively work with, and after signing A top 5 recruiting class (checks notes again) 2 months ago

so yeah broke

CIS: ******* Ruiz, why can’t we operate in the shadows

Also CIS (with a big spotlight digging): Where’s all the money at? I can’t see it, so it isn’t there, we broke!!!

Ruiz got us here, in large part. We owe him a debt of gratitude. But the cavalry has arrived

Idk. But if it was less, it most likely wasn’t a lot less.
Possibly being overlooked is that in these wild west NCAA NIL-rules days, player contracts presumably can (and do) have incentive clauses... meaning overall compensation is partly based on how the team or player has performed. Good for Nigel Pack, not so good for TVD. If we win, as usual. things are more rosy.

As I understand it, currently neither schools nor NCAA review whatever contracts are being made. Are there escape clauses (buybacks) if someone like Pack decides to transfer after 1 year of his 2-year "deal"? Probably; but who knows. This will surely tighten in the future, or maybe after a lawsuit or 2.
