How do you fix the running game next year?

The problem is they are running a zone blocking scheme and haven't recruited the right guys for it. You need athletic o-lineman in a zone blocking system.

Untalented O-linemen being coached by a mediocre O-line coach.

Fix that.

Has nothing to do with formations.

Gus Edwards is the best back on the team, Miami will be good to go with him back, with Yearby and Walton, all a year older.

Ding ding ding.

Watch our guys move in space and you'll quickly realize they are as unathletic as can be. Kehoe is also a big problem, always has been besides the couple of years he lucked into some talent.

I mean are we surprised? We haven't had a great OL since 2001. And while one of the reasons is Kehoe is beyond finished, we sucked with Stoutland as well. Take a look at our big men from 2001. Then take a peak at our big men today. Our players are in terrible condition.

Then, you add in the worst OC in the power 5, and an RB coach who should never be allowed at a D1 school, and bam, there's your answer.

Yearby and Walton may not be as talented as Fournette, Elliott, and Henry but they are still more talented than they are showing.

Cmon, who can't see our OL is trash right now and soft? You all don't see them getting out on their *** while reaching and grabbing? SOFTTT!!!

As long as Kaaya is our QB1 our running game will suffer because he can not operate from under center, nor is he a threat to ever run beyond the line of scrimmage in any situation.

"formations and playcalling have nothing to do with it" some of you should just refrain from posting. You're idiots.

A fullback that deserves a scholarship would help. They got some 7th year senior transfer walk-on as the fullback right now. What happened to Tucker?kid is a junior now and can't sniff the field?!?

1. Playcalling stinks, too predictable.
2. No rhythm to the run game.
3. OL are fat and poorly conditioned.

Except when he ran for 9 yards today on a scramble?
