How crazy is the ACC?

We’re alive but it’s a very long shot.

need UVA Pitt, & UNC to lose one more.
Need VT to lose two more.

the GT loss will haunt us all year.
OR we need UNC & UVA to lose 1 more and Pitt & VT to lose 2 more. We would tie UVA and hold the head-to-head tie breaker. We can't have a 3 or team tie. The criteria changes and we lose out.

ACC Tie Breaker Rules

Pitt loses to UNC.
Pitt loses to BC.

VT loses to Wake
VT loses to Pitt.

UNC loses to NC State
UVA loses to VT

It's a very long shot very unlikely to happen, but there's a chance.

We can have a 3 way tie with Pitt and UVA and still go.

Need VT to lose 2 more out of WF, GT, Pitt, and UVA

Need UVA to lose 1 more out of GT and VT

Need UNC to lose 1 more out of Pitt and NCSU

Need Pitt to lose 1 more out of UNC, VT, and BC.

This is accounting for all tiebreakers. The good news is a lot of these teams still play each other, so a lot of it will take care of itself.

For next week, we really need Wake to beat VT. And it would be nice if GT could beat UVA, but I wouldn’t count on it.

For week 12, UNC and Pitt play each other in a default elimination game. If UNC wins, we'll need NCSU to beat them. If Pitt wins, we’ll need VT to beat them. Probably better off if UNC wins, because we still need VT to lose, too.

For week 13, Pitt and VT in another default elimination game, assuming VT loses to Wake or GT.

For week 14, UVA vs. VT. Unless GT upsets UVA, we need Tech in this one, assuming they have already dropped two. Also Pitt vs. BC.

Don’t need Pitt to lose twice.

The GT game and the 4th and 17 UNC game will be something that they regret.
Yep. THis is going to haunt us this year. We have loved to take on Clemson if the last to games are an indication of a upward trend of the team becoming cohesive and progressing, it would have a entertaining to think about that game with Clemson. What GT , NC and I will also say VT game can be used as a focal point for this young team next year

Don't forget Pitt plays BC as it's last game.

Why do I get the feeling all these scenarios actually play out...and then we lose to Duke.
