All four of the NC participating teams this year have solid to very strong quarterback play. Penix and Ewers are both NFL level quarterbacks. Focusing on Texas, despite recruiting near countless blue chip quarterbacks since 2005, after Colt McCoy the first true upper tier player that they had was Ewers. It’s no coincidence that they rolled through their opposition with him. And when he was hurt, they barely won.

People underestimate just how important this position can be. Swap Ewers with Van Dyke this year and Miami wins 10 games at minimum.
