OPPONENTRESULT
@Florida State Florida State L31-17 Bent over the woodshed. Big Loss
vsUL Monroe UL Monroe W73-0 Not even worth mentioning
vsWisconsin Wisconsin W38-14 beat a Wisc team that finished 15th in the big ten only beat 2 power 4 teams. lost to IU, OSU, & Iowa by combined 102-7. Yikes! Avg win.
@Georgia 5 Georgia W24-21 Good win maybe, only by 3. More like a bad loss by uga, thats why they are favored.
vsVanderbilt 16 Vanderbilt W30-14 Good win. good vol team
@Missouri 14 Missouri W27-24 bad win. beat a gate keeping SEC team by only 3. This Mizzou team only beat bad teams, theyd probably be 8-4 in the SEC.
vsTennessee 11 Tennessee W37-20 Avg win. Beat another gate keeping SEC Vol team beat nobody good did ok against bad teams. id say Louisville is better then Tennessee at least they beat UK by more than 24 points.
@South Carolina South Carolina W29-22 Barely beat a bad SC team with only 2 power 4 wins. Bad win.
vsLSU LSU W20-9 beat a very mediocre LSU team by two scores. AVG win.
vsOklahoma 11 Oklahoma L23-21 didnt look good in the game, and they were favored. Bad win
vsEastern Illinois Eastern Illinois W56-0 Not even worth mentioning
@Auburn Auburn W27-20 should of lossed to a bad 5-7 AU team.
This Alabama team doesnt look good to me. They look barely above gatekeeping level and in they're in the SEC championship; which say alot about the SEC mediocrity but overranking for a second straight year. Tide's best win was just a bad loss to by UGA and a vanderbilt team that needs another year of sustained success to not get overwhelmed in the moment. That FSU is a stain that cant be removed.

The only reason Bama is ranked as high as they are, besides their loud and large fanbase, is consective victories against #5, #16, #14, #11 teams. turns out winning against overranked teams early in the season only boost your ranking but when it turns out those overranked teams are actually bad it doesnt pull your rankings down to an appropriate level.
Fück it ND should be out as well. Go Canes!

Dude, this is my take 100%. Alabama is getting away with murder. They lost to a 5 win FSU week 1 by 14 points and the argument is, "well, that was week 1, things change", which is bulls*** btw. But they played a 5 win team in their last game of the season and it was tied with 4:00 in the 4th. They bookended their season struggling with sub .500 teams.

But you say, "well, Auburn is a rival game". OK. They lost the game before that (not counting Eastern Illinois) to Oklahoma.

But you say, "well, Oklahoma was #11 and they're a good team". They're not, they have a garbage offense, but OK. They played a 7 win, coach-less team before that and it was a 1 score game with 4:00 left in the 4th.

But you say, "well, LSU has players and is a tough out". OK. The week before that they played 4 win USCe and it was a tie game with 34 seconds left and, in fact, Bama was losing int he 4th quarter.

But you say, "well, the week before THAT they beat #11 Tennessee 37-20". OK. Tennessee isn't ranked anymore.

But you say, "well, the week before THAT they beat #14 Missouri by 3 points". OK. Missouri isn't ranked anymore.

You have to go back to their 4th and 5th games to find ANYTHING that resembles an argument for them to be in the playoff. But don't go back too far because then any goodwill you found will be erased by a 14 point loss to 5 win FSU.

The SEC wants everyone talking about Miami and Notre Dame because Alabama is an absolute fraud. It's the second year in a row they've lost to a .500 and below team. They struggled with many .500 and below teams this year, including at the end of the season. They are flawed, very flawed, and nobody wants to talk about it. They beat Georgia by 3 and Vanderbilt by 16. That's it. That's their entire f***ing resume. If Alabama doesn't beat Georgia then the only game they played this year that you could argue is playoff worthy material is a win over Vanderbilt. Read that sentence twice. The amount of heavy lifting that Georgia win is doing is Atlas level support.

Bad Games
FSU (5 wins) - Lose by 14
USCe (4 wins) - Losing in the 4th, tied with 34 seconds left
LSU (7 wins, no coach) - One score game with 4:00 left
Oklahoma (10 wins) - Loss
Auburn (5 wins) - Tied with 4:00 left

Wins over unranked teams
Missouri (8 wins) - 3 point win
Tennessee (8 wins) - 17 point win
Wisconsin (4 wins) - 24 point win

Good Wins
Georgia (11 wins) - 3 points
Vanderbilt (10 wins) - 16 points

Miami and Notre Dame should be in the playoffs and Alabama should be out.

3 losses, even if one is in your conference championship, should not be in consideration for the playoffs. JMHO.

I think if you lose to a .500 or below team by more than one score you should be out no matter what when compared to teams with the same record. It should be an automatic disqualifier in any comparative analysis.

Especially when you end the season struggling with another sub .500 team.

Bama has been one of the most frustrating teams for me this tear. Which is why I have no faith in them to beat UGA to help us get into the CFP. Barely made it past bad USCe and LSU which would've had them on the outside looking in for the CFP, couldn't beat a OU team that is completely inept to get them out of our way, and then eked out a win over sub .500 Auburn.. hopefully they can do what we need at least once this season. I'd love to meet them in the playoffs.

I'm in the minority, but I think Alabama losing by 10+ knocks them out

I am in this minority as well. If UGA beats them by that and controls the game, I believe they will be eliminated from the CFP.
Idk. I just have a hard time seeing them dropping the SECCG loser out of the CFP. To me it would have to be a complete drubbing for it to even be a possibility. A UGA blowout mixed with how **** Alabama has looked for the last month and a half of the season MIGHT be enough.
