Mario is an elite recruiter so why has he had trouble stacking elite high school qbs? Not saying we can’t have a diamond in the rough with Emory or Judd but why can we recruit every position besides the most important one?

There’s never been a time that we been more is desperate need of a real QB then now.

We seem to have issues every year with ours.

JJ said it best we need to sign (2) QB’s every year to compete .

He’s been proven correct every year .

Why you ask and it's very simple. Would want to play for such a stale and predictable offense that he runs? **** no and that's why we can't
attract a top notch QB

Nothing from those guys screams diamond in the rough.

- His value to HS QBs, from a development standpoint, appears minimal because he's not an X's and O's coach.
- He doesn't have the reputation for attracting or bringing in top level OCs/QB coaches to elevate the QB talent, but DOES have the rep for negatively impacting offenses with meddling (justified or not, the rumors are out there - only those in the building know what's true).
- If Dawson leaves this year, it will be OC #3 in 3 years. That's not a good look for stable QB development.

Mario is the only one who can control, or change, the narrative above by hiring the proper guy and letting them do their thing and prove development along the way. This current room of QBs is about as bad as it can get from a readiness/depth standpoint. Each kid is a project with significant development work in front of them to be a legit P5 starter. Without a true starting QB from the portal who is capable of winning games not just managing them, this team will waste a ton of talent in 2024.

Couldnt have said it better.

That doesn't make sense why it would only apply to a WR and not a QB..l

He got Ty Thompson a four/five star at Oregon FYI. Obviously Thompson didn’t pan out but he is only getting developmental recruits here.
