I think he should have been a DB, but he stepped in to help us out at a position of need.Decision made.
Move on.
Good luck to Homer, great athlete who played his best for Miami.
Go Canes.

In all honesty..homer might go in rounds 5-7 and is most likely a P-FA. There no special back that pops out of the group like a zeke or Barkley but this year has serious depthI don't agree with this RB class being weak. It lacks the top-end star power other recent class had, but it's incredibly deep with guys who produced at the collegiate level.
Special team guys like Homer don't go in round 3 and Homer's sophomore tape was better than his junior tape.

That's some serious depth in the class. A lot will depend on how some of those guys test, Homer included. There's a LOT of guys in front of Homer on that list imo.
And Asa Martin hopefullyI liked Homer, but we’ll be fine with Lingard, Davis, and Dallas next year.

He'll go in the 4th or 5th IMO. He has the skill set to be successful in the league. Probably best he goes this year
Homer was a solid HB and had a good career here. Nevertheless, Dallas, Davis, Lingard, and Martin have a way higher ceiling than he does. None of those guys are 1-cut backs like Homer was, and all of them have way more speed than him. None of them would have been caught from behind by a UVA safety if they were in the open field. He's going to have a good career in the NFL, and the upside for him to stay would've been minimal. If there's any position where we can afford to lose a guy, it's at HB.
