Homer

I don't agree with this RB class being weak. It lacks the top-end star power other recent class had, but it's incredibly deep with guys who produced at the collegiate level.

Special team guys like Homer don't go in round 3 and Homer's sophomore tape was better than his junior tape.

(Alphabetical order)
Benny Snell
Bryce Love
Damien Harris
Darrell Henderson
David Montgomery
Devin Singletary
Dexter Williams
Elijah Holyfield
Jordan Scarlett
Josh Jacobs
Justice Hill
Karan Higdon
LJ Scott
Mike Weber
Miles Sanders
Myles Gaskin
Rodney Anderson
Trayveon Williams
Zack Moss

That's some serious depth in the class. A lot will depend on how some of those guys test, Homer included. There's a LOT of guys in front of Homer on that list imo.
In all honesty..homer might go in rounds 5-7 and is most likely a P-FA. There no special back that pops out of the group like a zeke or Barkley but this year has serious depth

Seems like a strange decision, but players don't seem to come back and improve their stock around here very often.

Stop doubting Homer, remember he's a combine beast which should definitely improve his draft stock. He's a compact built freak of nature like a neutron star with cleats.

I think he should have been a DB, but he stepped in to help us out at a position of need.

good idea, take a player that has never played that position before and force it on him...

god some of our "fans" have a mega hardon for making players play positions they never have played in their life.

He'll go in the 4th or 5th IMO. He has the skill set to be successful in the league. Probably best he goes this year

I think he can be a great 3rd down back in the league with his skill set. No upside for him to stay another year. Good luck to him.

Homer was a solid HB and had a good career here. Nevertheless, Dallas, Davis, Lingard, and Martin have a way higher ceiling than he does. None of those guys are 1-cut backs like Homer was, and all of them have way more speed than him. None of them would have been caught from behind by a UVA safety if they were in the open field. He's going to have a good career in the NFL, and the upside for him to stay would've been minimal. If there's any position where we can afford to lose a guy, it's at HB.

Homer has the skill set to ply in the NFL, a nice one cut back with decent speed and runs extremely
Aggressive and violent, and can catch out of the backfield, he will get drafted and get be a 3rd down back for a bit then hopefully get some time to take over and prove himself

While Homer may be a combine beast he has zero vision or instincts to be a good running back. Little above average speed and some power will not get you into the 3rd round, best hope is 5th round.

The only guy we have coming back that's faster is Lo. Dallas most certainly isn't. Davis, I don't think so either. Martin, not sure.

Yes, we can afford do lose him, but he certainly could've improved his stock.

Homer showed up at like 200 pounds this year. If he wants to make it in the NFL, he needs to get to about 220 of shredded muscle.
