Rivals is a complete joke... How is it that Travis Homer, Mike Pinckney, or Zach McCloud arent 4star prospects???? Homer had one of the Highest SPARQ ratings, was invited to The Opening and performed extremely well (think he won an event)... Pinckney has had a monster year and Ohio State, Auburn, FSU all tried to get McCloud and it seems that they failed.... these people hate Miami so bad

Had me, until you quoted SPARQ rating as your supporting evidence of determining a good player...

Wether you like it or not, it is relevant. The whole point of the star system is to project to the next level, not award kids on their high school career. Measurables are a tremendous part of that. They can keep a kid that was all state from even getting a look by a power 5 school, or a kid with one year of organized play an offer at an elite program. It is what it is.
 
**** 4 star, i don't see how someone can't look at McCloud's film and say he's not a 5 star! Kid is an absolute monster! Hope he comes in wearing #1 ala Armstead
 
Why do you people question Rivals constantly like you don't know subscriptions influence players' rankings? Jesus. Every ******* year you people act like this **** isn't known.
 
McCloud is really underrated on the sites. Kid is a baller. Homer and Pinckney are where they should be.

Its actually better theyre not. Each will come with a chip on their shoulder. I want to see a ****ed off defense flying around. I miss those days.
 
Rivals is by far the worst site for this stuff. I only look at 247 because of their composite rankings where they weigh in rankings from everywhere. I think it is the most reliable
 
Do these recruiting sites actually watch film or just go off camps and the measurements of these players?

Either a kid can ball or he can't.

I rather have great football players than workout heroes.

Now, of course, the best of both worlds is the ideal scenario. But on the field results are what matters most.
