There is still a library? What are they, place with a bunch of electrical outlets for recharging? Great place for the stadium.

Jokes aside, the UM Library is actually considered one of the most heavily used facilities on campus. I'd say it's more popular than the UC for social gathering.

PS - Even if we bulldozed the library, it still wouldn't work: 1) still not enough square footage for field/seats/concessions, 2) horrible location as the library is at the center of campus, not the edge of campus and 3) quite far from our athletic/training facilities and 4) you still run into a logistical nightmare for parking/traffic.

I really wish the "On Campus Stadium" discussions would end - it physically and logistically cannot happen. I've posted about it in the past and nothing has changed since then. The Dolphins ownership knows this and uses it against us all the time.

Yea, this "On Campus Stadium" talk needs to stop...

but for argument's sake, you could use the empty field north of Pearson residential college and demo the preschool and M-P dorms to have plenty of space at the NE corner of the campus. They could then build new preschool and vertical housing around campus to make up the space..

However, as stated numerous times, the City of Coral Gables won't allow it logistically with parking/traffic and so forth. It will never ever happen. Show's you have no clue about what goes on around the gables or on campus. Few things are certain in life such as death, taxes, and never having a football stadium at the coral gables campus.

1. Has never set foot on campus

2. Knows absolutely zero about the school, its surroundings, and the city it's located in. (Think just US1 and traffic WITHOUT a stadium - now picture a stadium)

I lived in Orlando for four years. It's Gator town, then Noles, then Canes then......way down the line Knights.

There is almost no UM merch in orlando.

For selfish reasons I hope the FSU game is in Orlando. Canes fans have had a good history of showing up to games in Orlando.

Like someone else said, give the season ticket holders all the lower bowl seats and general admission for FSU in the upper bowl.

IMO they will assess the construction timeline sometime in August. If they see that the Dolphins home opener has a chance to be affected, they will prep for temporary construction shutdown. Construction start-up (Phase III) will commence after the season.

You're delusional if you think SLS's location doesn't affect attendance. Know how many fans from Miami do not attend games because they don't want to deal with the hassle of driving up there? As someone who lives in the The Falls/Kendall area, I see it too often.

Miami has yet to play a game at SLS where the entire stadium is full. Miami/FSU and Miami/Florida had many empty seats in the corners for those games. SLS has a history of poor attendance. It isn't just a coincidence.

If you live in Miami/Dade and can't make a game at SLS, which is easier to get in and out of, easier to park in, and only minutes time difference in terms of how long it takes you to actually get in your seat, then ..... you weren't attending games at the OB either, which was a nightmare logistically

Article is total bs. It says we moved the A&M game to FAU but I was told that under no circumstances would a home game be moved anywhere but to Orlando. Because we had sold more season tickets this year then FIU or FAU stadiums held, and they would not have a game where all season ticket holders could not attend.

How is moving the game to Orlando a viable solution for UM season ticket holders? That's a 3 hour drive from UM.
