Home Field Advantage?

I laugh at people who complain about ticket prices. Season tickets in the 300 section are around $200. Compare that to other D1 schools and that is cheap. Rutgers 300 section is $250. Boston College season tickets, upper level $240. Virginia Tech season tickets $350. Find a friend split the cost if it’s too much split the games and go to the big games together.

I bought some new green adidas shorts for the game Saturday. I’m guessing this plus my favorite orange shirt will be the difference.

Definitely agree with your larger point but pump the brakes on bringing Dook into this conversation. Their mini stadium was AT LEAST 1/3 empty (as these attendance #s are always artificially inflated- they listed our attendance at 50K on Friday) as they were hosting a top 10 team that can also easily travel to Durham.

But again- I agree with your sentiment. People either need to stop making excuses about this Saturday or just admit that their excuses are lame cover for them not going to games period- disirregardless of the quality of our team.

Actually attendance looked pretty packed even on the grass. Clemson brought 10k.

Your point is well taken. The folks that ***** the loudest don't go to games.

We're flying in Friday. Get your asses to the game.

People ***** about parking, too. A parking pass for 7 home games is reasonable.

My 100 level season tix were 400. Our tickets are extremely affordable compared to others.

Check out the ticket prices on the website.
Price to park at Hard Rock.
Product on the field the last how many years?
All reasons why people don't come....
Frustrating when you go to stadiums around the country and they have a true home field advantage.
How about those who claim to be fans but quit going to games until we get back to the old days.`.

I’ll be there. Coming down from Tampa. Riding solo for this one. I’ll probably try to crash someone’s tailgate in the orange lot.

Jesu Cristo. 10000%. IF the team can be even remotely decent, we have the best value season ticket/parking price in probably all of "big time" college football- especially so when accounting for the school/stadium being in one of the most expensive regions to live in this side of NYC or LA.

Obviously this being true shouldn't temper any criticisms of the school/program/athletic department and how they act in a clusterf*ck manner sometimes/often OR the product on the field but some dudes need a reality check as they whine with the same ol' non-factual shtick.

"Wahhh, it'd cost me $23k to bring my family of four to a decent game, to park, and to buy 4 sodas/4 hot dogs/4 boxes of Crackerjack, get 4 "souvenirs" and mayyybe buy myself a non-alcoholic beer!!!"

Does seem like there's a lot of tickets still available through the UofM website. With Clemson going down this may be the highest ranked team we play all year at home.

So what exactly are you doing about that?
Not to much I can do living in SC. And health issues that limit travel. I would attend every/as many games if I still lived in Davie. I was born and raised in N. Miami and have been a fan since early childhood. My father had Canes season tickets back then. We went to all the home games.
BS ... there was a decent crowd at the opener against Miami of Ohio. Around 40K. Should be well north of 50K for Texas A&M. That many people at the Rock and it IS a home field advantage. Have YOU ever actually been to a game? Canes have a good team ... people show.
The optics on TV last week looked weak as far as attendance. When I lived down there I tried to make as many games as I could. Canes and Dolphins.
We did look good last week and I hope we can keep it up.
I do agree success will encourage fan turnout. It is a simple formula.
My point was "If attendance is a determining factor to wins we would lose every game at home". The point I was driving home was our attendance sucks.
I know all about attendance for Cane and Dolphin games. It's horrible and probably the most lackadaisical fan base in the nation. This is a fact.
It's not like it used to be when both teams played at the Orange Bowl.

By far FROM the most lackadaisical fan base in the nation. There are MANY D1 programs, even ACC programs, with much lower attendance than UM.

FYI ... ACC average attendance figures "reported" for the 2022 season:

1. Clemson 80,000
2. FSU 67,300
3. Va Tech 64,300
4. NC St 55,900
5. Miami 54,900
6. Pitt 54,700
7. UNC 47,900
8. Louisville 41.600
9. Syracuse 40,800
10. UVA 40,700
11. BC 35.700
12. Ga Tech 34,400
13. Wake 30,000
14. Duke 24,500

And as far as the Orange Bowl ... few fans showed up for the Syracuse type games and weak OOC games. Everybody remembers the "Wide Right" FSU games and the comeback vs UF etc. UM fans show for big games ... and show for most games IF the team is winning. Argue whatever you want ... "figure shows tickets sold not in seats" ... but the STATS are reported on the same basis for all teams. And it blows the numbers for our new member Cal out of he water (38,600). Win ... they show.
