Holloman to UGA seems likely

After seeing coley get drafted this year and seeing ahmon killing it, these receivers are going to want to come here, I mean we only have like 6 receivers right now, go to bama and you aren't seeing the field for awhile. I believe he picks us.

If UGA can get him inand taken care of and we can't then we're set up for remaining an also-ran program. That would be a sign Rick doesn't have juice and that the school still doesn't give a fck enough about making the football program competitive.

Sometimes, you have to make an exception here or there to compete at high levels. If UM wants to remain UVA level in football then this is the way to do it. Why bother paying Rick all that money if you're still not willing to play the game?

Admissions has nothing to do with athletic department. All richt can do is get at frenk & see if an exception can be made.in alot of these instances the deal is simply getting the brother placed somewhere like a Marshall etc & Holloman coming.

Tell Alabama and the other current power programs that admissions has nothing to do with the athletic department.

These are exactly the types of moves that power programs make in order to compete for championships. If UM is interested in competing for championships then we need to have everyone from Frenk down on the same page.

If Rick has any juice with Frenk then he can get this sort of stuff done with the snap of his fingers. If he doesn't, then they shouldn't have bothered paying a HC all that money.

They are public institutions in a joke of an academic conference. Other than Vanderbilt( who is a very good academic institution)& to a small extent Tennessee the entire conference is a joke as far as academic standards go. We are a private school with very strict academic standards. Only schools other than ivy leagues that are difficult like us I can think of is notre Dame & Michigan. Maybe Syracuse to a lesser extent.

Michigan is a great example you just provided. Harbaugh could get anyone in there as long as they meet the minimum NCAA standards.

Spare me the prestigious academic talk. We've had some guys admitted to play football in the past who could barely read. You can still have a good overall academic reputation and admit football players that don't meet that standard. Your example of Michigan is a perfect one.

If we could get guys like Mullins,Carter and Gray in,we can get anyone we really want and make it happen.

Maybe he's talking about Deejay and him as birds of a feather?

I'm pretty sure he's talking about all the 4* and 5* recruits that were at UGA game yesterday.

But he's a 0 star, so he shouldn't be flocking with those birds.

Pretty sure Holloman is a 4*.

I thought his brother the 0 star made the tweet. My bad.

It's all good Chise. My brother in law graduated from UGA and he sent me a link from Dawgnation with Holloman and a bunch of 4 and 5* recruits at the Auburn game. I just think the kid is trolling us. But hey I hope I'm wrong.

Stanford, Northwestern, Duke, USC are all very good academic private schools

Absolutely. But other than Stanford I'm not sure any of them have as strict an admission standard as the ones I mentioned. But I could be wrong. Certainly have been before.

It was his little brother, half these people just read Holloman and freaked out.

U trippin. Michigan ain't letting no one in that isn't up to their standards. When you got old schools that are known as academic stalwarts they don't toy with that for nothing. Yes we certainly have had kids in our days that weren't the brightest but when that happens in most instances it's because we have a special situation to fall back on as far as federal regulations. For instance Frank gore. Frank had a learning disability that was diagnosed in his senior year & until we could prove that there was nothing we could do with him(which is why he was going to ole miss all the way up to February) exceptions are made in special instances. Without that it's completely on admissions.

Uga had a monster recruiting weekend.

The scoring only with the d and lack of passing should looked at if your a top wr

I always maintain that how an offense uuses a particular position means very little in the grand scheme of things with recruiting. Besides, uga can easily spin that and tell him "we've got a great qb in Eason and we just need good WRs like you and we'll be all set."

Your dead *** wrong on Michigan. They let big-time athletes in all the time below their general standards. Duke does the same **** for Kryzewski and the basketball team.

We've done it here in the past too. And Frank isn't the only example.

It's all sales, boss. That's all recruiting is. The best salesmen usually win out. You spin a story and sell a dream. UGA can sell something, and so can UM. Best salesman will win.

How is that top one favorable to UM? I'm admittedly not very Twitter savvy, but that looks about as nebulous as can be.
