the writing is on the wall. he has another year at best at wvu, and houston has the foundation for a successful g5 program for the foreseeable future.

Yeah but with the 4 team playoff system, it is virtually impossible to get in at Houston. Herman had a hard time and look at UCF, twice. Maybe he wants a change, more money, etc. Just seems like a step down

That’s what I was thinking. I read he was negotiating an extension and raise, wanted more than WVU was willing to pay. He was OC at Houston at one time. Maybe he thinks success there can lead to a bigger job later. Seemed to work for a number of Houston HCs; Briles, Herman, others.
