Where Western is...is predominately white. Cooper City and that area is definately is.

Miramar for the most part is caribbean and always been...everything west of hiatus/i-75..pembroke and miramar is predominantly white still.

I don’t know about that. Everglades High is pro black and Spanish. That’s west of I-75 off Miramar parkway.

A lot of these neighborhoods in Broward are still majority white folks but with all the charter and private schools, the public school enrollment doesn't show it. My buddy works for Plantation High. The city of Plantation is 70% white. The enrollment at PHS is 70% black. Most of the white kids that live in Plantation go to private schools.

There's a whole social and economics lesson to be taught here but since this is just a football forum, we'll keep it to sports. A lot of these western Broward high school teams that were predominantly white for decades are now much more diverse.

Cooper City might be the whitest neighborhood/public school in all of Broward County. LOL
The year I was DC there I had one black kid on my entire defense. (who's now at Alcorn State)
I had a mixed DE and two mixed CB's though. (so I had 2.5 black kids on my starting D)

Great kids though! And they had un-matched neighborhood/booster support. The right coach can get treated like a god in that town. I'm surprised they didn't build a statue for Art Taylor.
I went with my buddy to see Plantation play at Cooper City that one year where Taylor and them won the district. When my boy first told me they were good, I was like "are they recruiting out of area kids?" Then I saw the team and was like "nope". A whole bunch of little white dudes. I don't know how they did it, but they were awesome. They rolled Plantation and some little dude that was like a DB/WR returned like 3 kicks for touchdowns. Craziest high school team I've ever seen.

Well they had like 30 seniors on that squad, and Taylor had that whole team bought-in.

**** near every kid played both ways. He had 5'10" 200lb Linebackers doubling as Offensive Guards. Nasty lil' fvckers that were perfect for their Wing-T.

We both (Western & Cooper) were undefeated going into our week 6 matchup. They ended up beating us 16-7. They blocked 2 field goals and put our starting QB out of the game.

That was the angriest, nastiest, most foul mouthed but selfless football team I've ever seen. Nothing but respect for that squad. We beat the absolute **** out of them the following season though.

Do you see the area plantation high borders?.

Its literally right down the street from heavily african american areas...then its an influx of haitians to that area. But most plantation kids do privates foreal.

Im a Miramar guy. Thats the caribbean folk that moved from east miramar..out west.
Miramar High and Everglades High have a totally different type of kid.

When i was in high school Cooper City and Western were teams you didnt like playing. That's early 2000s. They would always have ol that avg out 280+ and dline that were big kids.
If they can legitimately recreate that formula and sprinkle in some skill transfers..they would be a PROBLEM.

That ain’t happening at Cooper. Anybody who is decent in the area is going private. Admin doesn’t care about sports
