Hetherman needs to change

Bottom line is defenses like this one are like dances. Lots of coordinated moving parts. But if the opponent can figure out the dance, it's easy to handle. I know everyone today is in love with being "multiple" etc, but the problem is I think it's too dependent on the play caller, and exposure to that play callers film.

Very clear to me that we are at an inflection point. Either the play caller changes his tendencies and or implements some different base looks, or he won't and we will be a quick out in the playoffs.

I legit wonder if playing some base cover 1, man to man with a free safety and a hole player, would do us some good as a reset.

blitz lb's every play (cant cover anyways) and go all out on sacks/TOs vs this bend and then break time wasting BS D
 
was he studying Dorito's defensive philosophy this off season? that looked awfully familiar and I don't want to see it again. that was god awful

If they could play like the last 2 series all game that would be nice. They at least got pressure.
 
Until our DBs can start playing decent in coverage I don’t think it matters who the DC is. Or what plays are called. Too often there’s multiple players in one area and the WR is wide open. The pass rush has been awful this season. A few spurts but it’s just insane how far the drop off has been. And I think it’s clear, Hetherman’s defensive scheme is ultra reliant on getting pressure with four.
