I would promote him to associate HC or something along those lines. Of course schools will come calling, but I would think that would help retain his services. Maybe!

Nice thing is this sets the blueprint for what helped make Miami great in the past. The best assistant coaches and coordinators want to coach for UM because they know it gets them a HC job. You want a mix of diehard guys who think it’s their dream job like Mirabal, and hungry coaches who see this as a ticket to a D1 HC job. The Miami HCs embrace this.

Hetherman is from the Schiano tree. He also coached Toure when at Rutgers. I would try to continue that coaching lineage/philosophy. Seems to be working pretty well.
