Herndon Done For The Year

this will impact UM in the committee's eyes as well

I really don't think it will; not that much anyway. Strangely yet logically enough, the one injury that would kill us on the field and with the Committee, is if we lost Rosier.

I'm going to pretend I didn't read this and just act surprised when I don't see him out there against Clemson. Otherwise I'm going to be in a very bad mood this week. Relying on Michael Irving to play well at TE. Yikes.

I don't want to be that guy but, is there going to be any point where our fan base learns how to spell the last name of the son of one of our greatest players ever? Who the **** is Michael Irving?

Half the people here weren't even born when HoF Michael played for the U in the 80s.

Depth matters...a lot! The fact that we have made is this far with a 10-1 record is nothing short of amazing. But unfortunately, the ride ends here. Clemson's depth is silly and that's what gets you wins in December and January. We'll fight, I have no doubt. But everyone needs to temper their expectations given the circumstances. Next year's class is just what we need. Proud of my Canes!

Folks focus on his pass catching abilities, but his blocking is what going to hurts us the most. In that area, it will be a significant downgrade between him and Irvin, in case y'all didn't catch Irvin blocked this year. I wouldn't be surprise if Gaynor or an extra OL in our big sets, but there's a reason why we didn't run a lot of double tight, or big formations this year.

That's going to hurt more than Walton. Might as well eliminate three or four formations. Irvin still have a huge problem holding the point of attack on the line. Let's hope he steps up

Well, we couldn't run block with him in anyways (OL bears that responsibility) , so I can't say it's a massive blow to the run game. Pass catching, I'd honestly prefer if we'd use Langham instead of IrvinG. Have to hope Rosier pulls his head out of his *** as there is no way to work around bad qb play against Clemson (could have against Pitt, but Richt chose not to). Agree with up tempo, and going 4-5 wide. I'd start with rb in backfield then flex him out to wr to make Clemson pause and figure out how to defend him (might take a lb out of position and open up run lane for Rosier). And I pray Richt stops trying to go deep all the time on first down as the series nearly always ends in a punt if Rosier doesn't complete the pass. Take the deep shots on 2nd and short.

Standard run game with five OL will probably suck anyways, I'd like to see DJ in the Wildcat with 6-7 OL to manufacture some semblance of a ground game.

We came into this season worried about RB, TE and CB depth.

We've lost our best player at each position at some point along the way.

Incredible we're 10-1.
