So I am not an insider nor do I intend to be one. I have a friend of a good friend who is on Herman's staff at Houston that came over with him from OSU. We just spoke since we are putting together my friends' bachelor party and he told me that Herman is doing preliminary research on the Miami job and has even solicited said coach in regards to helping him learn more about what it's like to live here, etc. (he grew up in Pinecrest). Just passing along a nugget.

i read the article that Herman stated that winners get the big money, the hot wife and the big house....Well If he aint scurred.. Miami offers more of that than any other place he's gonna vet.
 
Well according to barry, up and coming coaches don't have a real shot at getting the job. But i hope they at least talk to herman on the **** phone.
 
The rumors are all over the place at this point. I don't know what to believe, but at least the conversation has shifted to Kelly and Herman and away from Mario and Strong. Butch is either definitely out or already hired depending on the time of day.
 
Herman should be on the list, but below Patterson, Kelly, Butch, and many others. He might be the only Group of 5 coach I'd consider.
 
Someone should tell Herman about the Chonga thread over at WEZ if he wants to find out more about Miami.

He'll get an immediate feel for the area.

Again, my acquaintance is a lower level assistant, so consider the source. However, the early stage research piece jives with some scuttlebutt on other sites
 
If we're talking a big game like a lot of insiders are saying, we take a ******* shot at Patterson from the start.
 
This is the time when porsters read other stoires on forums and pass them off as their own......

There is no one on Herman's staff from Pinecrest.

maybe that assistant director for recruiting doe. but for real. how is that woman anything of recruiting? just because she's hot?

Unfortunately his buyout is going to be north of $2 million dollars.

Unfortunately Miami isn't going to pay that.

Because you people don't know what those people do. She most certainly sets up official visits, monitors the number of contacts, etc.

One of the gems from Grassy was when TheFranchise and his group actually claimed that Pete Garcia was the mastermind behind Butch's recruiting classes. The reality was that Pete was on the admin side of it, just like this girl at Houston is.
