Here's what I know

McKee for Stanford is a good QB, Shaw just chose the wrong one to start the year off. When he went down shortly after the Oregon game, Stanford took a nosedive.

He started the next 3 games after Oregon and they lost all 3. He started the last game after missing 2 and they lost 41-11 to Cal

It would be a dream come true for the USA to win the World Cup one of these days, only because it would **** off the rest of the world to no end. My family is Brazilian, and they would have a literal meltdown.

But it will never be. Any kid in those countries who has talent does nothing but play soccer all day every day, in the academies. As a result, top-level soccer players are the best athletes on the planet. Better than our football players, because they don't have to balance sports and school when they're developing, they only play sports.

The model you need to follow in the US if you're gonna compete is the baseball model, with its major and minor leagues, development leagues, etc. You can't rely on the school system to produce elite athletes.

The high school to college to pro model produces **** athletes. If other countries played American Football and just used the same structure they have for soccer, they would overtake us and whip our asses at our own sport very easily and very quickly. The only reason the NFL is elite is because nobody else plays the sport, that's facts. The development model for 99% of American sports is trash.
No disagreement.

Good lord, it has been discussed ad nauseam. What are you suggesting that's new? Again, you offered up Van Dyke as a possible transfer to follow Lashlee if he gets the job to SMU. Garcia isn't going anywhere and if that decision is to be made then it would be after spring. It would be a better scenario for Brown as a true freshman.

Are trying to justify keeping Diaz? Yes, classes fall apart when coaches get fired in many cases. It isn't happening at LSU because 11 of the 14 commits are in state and that is where kids go if you are from Louisiana. One kid they have committed is from Georgia but he is committed to Corey Raymond who isn't leaving nor ever getting fired.
These hypotheticals are going to need an excel spreadsheet pretty soon

So many excuses for the Stanford loss but there is always an answer. The other one is Moorhead was gone. They scored 24 points against Stanford. Moorhead was back against Cal and guess how many points they scored? 24

I asked a question for the board. My posting history gives you my stance on Diaz. I didn't insuate anything I asked a question. It had nothing to do with Diaz it had everything to do with Lashlee possibly getting the head coaching at SMU. I know everyone is on pins and needles so I apologize for getting everyone's panties in a wad. I'll play nicer going forward.

It should be an actual one, but I think it’s an unwritten rule that you don’t take a kid you coached the year before.

That Pass that Scott threw to Santana for a TD was a thing of Beauty...Kid had a Top 4 arm in UM History...
That's one of my all time favorite plays right there. I remember when he got open saying throw it to him. The OB got really loud. If only the immense potential of this team carried over to 1999.

It did in a way...The Penn St loss should never of happened...The Refs F-ed us (if you can believe that) on James Jackson's 4th down run which he made by atleast 2ft)...If instant replay was being used then, the call would have easily been overturned and it would have been game over...and no Chaffee Fields TD....We eventually beat a **** good GT team, with a **** good QB Joe Hamilton in the Bowl game...

Yup. I blew a gasket. But if Coker calls a bootleg there Kenny is still running down NW 7th Ave untouched.

I'd always wondered why Coker got a free pass as an OC. I could tell right away in 1995 that he was a lot more conservative than Erickson's offense. Coker would always start the game with a way too conservative game plan and only open up the playbook when they got down. If he started out less conservative against Washington we might have won. Yes he had the 2000 offense scoring 40ppg. But anyone could basically. And being too conservative cost us the Washington game and the NC.

247 Update from David Lake:

- Search firm running national search. Drawn interest from big-time candidates. School will take its time.
- Strawley respected in school but not a candidate for AD. May stay on in a different role
- AD decision will be made by Frenk and his advisors based on info from search firm
- Head coach decision by new AD and Frenk
- BoT won't have much say in either decision

I find the last bullet hard to believe.
