Because your country literally inherits 300 million people in idk how many climate zones. The American model isnt trash, but it works because the talent is there to make it work.

No. I dont even know how you come up with that sort of logic. American Football and Rugby are two entirely different sports.

There are no "the best athletes". Its borderline impossible to compare athletic endeavours from one sport to the other. Every sport has different tasks, challenges and injuries, along with different training, preparation and execution.

Americans dont succeed in soccer because they have a lack of talent and a lack of competition in youth leagues. Which is not surprising at all, considering kids rather go for other sports.

This has nothing to do with sports models or whatever. Most sports models work when the right talent is there. Which is why Americans do well in American Football, Europeans do well in Soccer and Asians do well in Table Tennis. And talent is there when its a national sport.

Apart from the fact the sport is far more fluid, theres different personnel sets depending on the tournament, the ball distribution is different, the rules are entirely different, there are no pads involved, the movement of the players and the strategy is totally different... sure it might be the same.

Sucks, he's a great candidate. I think he would've fit right in at UM, especially coming from an academia such as Stanford and still creating success there. Oh well.

If other countries played American Football and just used the same structure they have for soccer, they would overtake us and whip our asses at our own sport very easily and very quickly. The only reason the NFL is elite is because nobody else plays the sport, that's facts. The development model for 99% of American sports is trash.

America will win a World Cup before Brazil wins another one. The only countries that compete with the us at sport are China and the former USSR. T

Actually how it’s supposed to be.

People can make their case for a candidate after the AD is hired, or in conjunction with, but using resources like search firms to have several candidates to evaluate is how any important hiring decision should be made.

People vie for power in organizations constantly. That’s kind of how it works unless you have an absolutely dictatorial management structure, and even then it happens.

I would be more concerned if no search firm was being used. Thats how we ****ed up the last hire.
