Here's what I know on Mark Matthews...

Facts Matthew's would have been committed by now. Olu can be a 3 and out first rd type talent dont want to lose him waiting around. There's only so many oh those high.level five star type talents each year

It's NOT moping at all but using common sense to get a great player. Did it every occur to you this kid may feel slighted with all the attention Matthews is getting? Take the kid if he wants to commit. Can't stand the term mope like you're some type of expert lol. We all have opinions and are entitled to them.

What you are saying is logical - Don’t come up empty-handed and miss out on both Olu and Matthews.

That’s smart and not mope.

‘Mope’ however is reserved for those who feel we have no chance with either; conceding full defeat and expect us to lose out on both kids.

I mean, sure, nice counterpoint. I just think it's lame when people try to diminish the overall outcome of a season because of some "close games". Barely beating Cal, VT, and Louisville in 2024 was a lame *** talking point for the nation, just like talking about how 8&4 performed in their wins, 11 of em....like bruh c'mon.

A&M on their boards are already starting the "Miami has the highest NIL and will do what it takes monetary to get him" so if he comes to us, it was solely due to $$$ yet if he goes there, we had the highest offer and he just wanted to be an aggie

I believe it’s the opposite.

If he picks us, it’s because the entire time he knew he was coming here and was just upgrading the bag and adding hype to his announcement. I wouldn’t even be surprised to see Mario’s CIA dreams of this being a double/secret agent scenario and him feeling CIS false info …

But if he picks against us and goes A&M idgaf what D$ says, I do not believe A&M would be offering a smaller bag than us. Can Not convince me otherwise idgaf

Honestly either way he chooses I believe A&M will be the bigger offer. I just think if he ultimately picks us he will have significantly raised our Bid in doing this… so a W for Mathews either way. Not like A&M is bums at developing under Elko like They were under Jimbo…

sorry comment was unclear, I was more so poking fun at the aggies and how this is always the narrative around UM. If we get a player, from our back yard, at a position that is our HC bread and butter with a proven track record and even though we are coming off a NC appearance it was SOLELY because we had such a ridiculous bag and he really wanted to be an aggie, but if we lose him, aggies will say we still had the highest bag and he spurned us for them.

I agree with you, I wont believe for a second A&M didnt match or somehow exceed our offer and maybe not even NIL, there are still old school bags, other favors etc.

Okay DeanCane lol, can you say something original besides recruiting ain't for the weak? My goodness that's is such an overused BS cliche. I've seen way many recruiting wars then you've seen in your lifetime pertaining to UM. Been to 4 National Championship games for UM, 13 UM vs ND games, season ticket holder for 36 years but not the last 4 because I'm getting older and rather watch from home. Have persoanlly met Dennis Erickson, JJ, Howard S, Butch Davis, Marc Richt, Al Golden,Manny Diaz, and Randy Sannon. The head coach I didn't meet since 1983 is Mario Cristobal because I'm no longer a season ticket holder nor contributor to the UM fund. Yeah DeanCane, please don't insinuate your juvenile comments when others make theirs with passion and conviction.. We are ALL entitled to our comments whether you agree or not and we are ALL CANES FANS wanting another National Championship. As Paul Harvey use to say GOOD DAY! My final comment is that years ago I was not a Mario fan ( not recruiting but game management) but I was dead wrong about him and admit it. He is doing a heck of a job
