It’s unfortunately what kids believe in. The narrative is that SEC is king. We have been dominating SEC and even if we continue to do so, the stigma of being in the ACC won’t wear off on social media. When we lose one out of conference game, everyone will say “cupcake schedule” or “look what happens when they play a real team.” You saw Clemson go through that every year during their peak. I agree its BS, but unfortunately it’s the way it goes

I’m sure some will think I’m a homer or sunshine pumper for this. But I’ll defer to Mario 100% on OL recruiting. I could be wrong but if he’s going to slow play the plan B, plan A is still very much in play.

Absolutely could blow up in his face. But I trust his track record inexplicably here. Who knows what happens when Mario gets him here on campus 1 on 1 for an extended period.

Very fair position. MC has earned the benefit of the doubt.

Mario is relentless and you have to respect it. Onion wouldn’t have given him a look if he didn’t play for NW. Folden wouldn’t have tried thinking he’s out of our league. Manny would have half-heartedly recruited him and let him walk.

Now Richt was a tough SOB on the trail but he did not have the resources behind him that Mario has, and he was at the end of his career.

If we don’t get a guy, it’s either because Mario just didn’t think he was worth the price or the kid just didn’t want to come to Miami.

It will absolutely not be because Mario didn’t move heaven and earth to try to land him.

Not Ohio ST, or Bama, or UGA, or Notre Dame, or Indiana, or Texas, or TAMU, or Oregon, or LSU, or anybody.

Without the portal, you're SOL, just look at Clemson.

Exactly, so many comments anchored to logic from a decade ago. In this era you need them both. HS recruiting is where you get your Bain and Toney, but the portal is where you get your Ward and Scott. The data is obvious.
