A few things to point out: (1) those rushing statistics include sacks as rushing attempts; (2) Henry Parrish averaged 4.1 per carry against MTSU, before getting injured and having our 4th string RB take over in the 3rd quarter; (3) MTSU sold out to stop the run (which was the smart game plan); because (4) UM only average 6 yards per passing attempt for the game (the far more embarrassing offensive statistic, IMO).

6 yards per pass attempt, it just can’t get more embarrassing as that.

Plus all those terrible rankings in O shown earlier some in the hundreds.

None of this bodes well at all and to be fixed in by week.

You know they are thinking the same. They will load the box and hope TVD starts off the same way he did against MTSU. Play action should open up some big plays.

I like what Parrish brings, but top 4? There's other guys I'd certainly take ahead of him. He's doing things though, all you can ask of him.

It’s based on a very specific metric. I mean, look at the other guys on that list. It’s a nice thing and he’s having a nice year but let’s just leave it at that.
 
Gore, Emmitt Smith and several other RB greats proved that elite RBs are more than just speed and athleticism. Parrish is a very good RB. I will take his vision, footwork and courage in tight spaces over what the Rooster and Chaney and most ACC RBs have brought so far in their career so far. Parrish is RB1 at UM, and it’s not close
 
Parrish is simply the best of a very average group of RB's.

These stats thru 4 games, given how soft our schedule has been, is kind of sad. Our complete lack of explosiveness at the RB continues to be an issue.

HP Jr has been a very valuable addition. He's a fighter with good vision who looks natural running the ball. He's also demonstrated strong leadership qualities. Against A&M you could see him trying to will the team to victory, totally on a roll...and then he was taken out (at a completely inopportune time when he was rolling). He looked totally comfortable in the ATM game (because he'd been there & done that in big games in that conf many times before). May not have elite top end speed but he's effective nonetheless. Rapidly becoming one of my favorite Canes. We're lucky to have him.
