Henry Parrish - TOP 4 RB?

Good back. Glad to have him. Lacks the speed to be in the top 4 in the country. He's been effective, but he's a good player, not elite. He's excelled here because he is one of the few guys we've used properly.
You bring up a good point about utilization. I know rooster has not been fully healthy, but when he has been on the field we haven’t used him properly at all.

My dumb *** was scratching my head when we signed him. 🤦🏾‍♂️

True, but we also thought Miami had Chaney and Knighton good to go, as well as Franklin and Citizen on board. Parrish seemed and afterthought, until he wasn't.

When he has played all we have asked him to do is run between the tackles. He had 14 carries and 1 reception vs A&M. We're not giving him the ball in space where he excels.
You're not wrong, but the sample size is too small for me to take anything from it. Let me see rooster healthy and play in all 4 quarters of a meaningful game first and see how they utilize him.

He is exactly what he showed in high school. Their is a reason so many of us claymores for him. The debate is over. He is a better back than Rooster and many of us knew.

He is an asset to this team and we were lucky to get him back after the last staff slow played the most productive back in South Florida.

Where are you getting the 0.1 figure? Somebody replied to an earlier post about that and it showed 0.6 YPC
3.4 - 3.3 = 0.1

Anybody can pull my receipts and see I'm President of the Hank Parrish Fan Club, but yeah I know most fans are going to remember that drop in the A&M game forever. Good thing is he's got chances to atone for it.

And he's a fine receiving back, by the way. He caught plenty of passes at Ole Miss. But that one in College Station was rather large, for sure. Very well might have scored on that play.

Absolutely wild to me (although it should be expected at this point?) that we were all thinking in July that we'd have one of the very best RB rooms in the country, and we're exactly a month into the season and it looks like a bomb went off in there. Just ridiculous. Every single kid has gotten hurt except Thad and we're a third of the way through the season.

You want a more apples to apples comparison?

Not the improvement many think it has been. Hopefully that changes.

He caught 21 passes in 13 games at Ole Miss last year. I wouldn't say he caught plenty of passes last year. That's 1 more than Knighton who played 8 games(zero receptions his first game) and many feel he still wasn't utilized in the passing game enough last year.
