Henry Parrish - TOP 4 RB?

He caught 21 passes in 13 games at Ole Miss last year. I wouldn't say he caught plenty of passes last year. That's 1 more than Knighton who played 8 games(zero receptions his first game) and many feel he still wasn't utilized in the passing game enough last year.

I didn't say anything about Knighton being utilized correctly in the passing game. You can find probably a dozen posts from me begging the staff to give Knighton multiple targets per game, to put him on the field with another back and allow him to work in space, etc. I'm with you that Knighton should be getting WAY more opportunities in the passing game. But I'm also saying that Parrish is plenty capable as well. 21 passes operating as the 3rd back in Lane's offense is very productive. We haven't had ANY running back catch 21 or more passes in a season since Travis Homer in 2018. So for your 3rd string back to have 21 catches, yes, it's impressive and clearly shows their staff had trust in him to be able to do it.

Bottom line, BOTH kids should be getting WAY more opportunities in the passing game when you have a WR corps like we do. Coaching malpractice.

He's got everything you'd want in an RB except elite speed and big play making ability.
Lol not too many players are CJ2K

Imagine if he had ANYTHING that resembled a passing attack to keep the defense honest

TVD and Gattis can barley even complete this new concept of a forward pass

Kid is legit and we should be thankful he left ole miss to come home because we would be foooooked

Totally agree. I didn't mean to bash the kid with my comment and hope it didn't come off that way. Parrish's vision, balance, and toughness combined with Rooster's speed and elusiveness should be a nice 1-2 punch if both can stay healthy and if our passing games wakes up.

You're good at playing dumb, I will give you that.
2021 had 415 attempts and gained 1532 yards, that's 3.69 yards per carry.
2022 has had 163 attempts and gained 717 yards, that's 4.40 yards per carry.

Where in the attachment that YOU provided do you see 3.4 or 3.3. Please explain it to me.

I thought about being snarky, but I'll help you out because now I don't think you're playing the part.

He is exactly what he showed in high school. Their is a reason so many of us claymores for him. The debate is over. He is a better back than Rooster and many of us knew.

He is an asset to this team and we were lucky to get him back after the last staff slow played the most productive back in South Florida.
He's better in that he's a more complete back than Rooster. But Rooster is a bigger weapon if used the right way in the right situations.

So you're cherry picking the numbers that make us look the worst.

Now do P5 opponents at the same point season to season. 2.53 last year to 4.87 this year.
Looking at how a team does vs FBS competition only is not cherry picking stats lmao.

If you want a more apples to apples comparison I can give you one.

Not really sure we're much better.

I assume this means all the top RB recruits will be knocking down our door now…

I'll throw you a bone. We're .2 yards better so far through the first 3 games this year vs FBS competition. And we've scored 2 more times on the ground. There is some improvement!

Total yards - 61st
Rushing TD - 57th
Avg - 104th

Anyone know how they arrive at that ranking? I am not saying he doesn't look like the best in our RB room so far this year, but how do those rankings land in the top 4?

I don't know how you've watched this team play and thought we're not much better running the ball this year. Rushing for 322 yards against CCS and rushing for 60 yards against MTSU are clearly outliers in both those years.

1.5 per touch against middle Tennessee state. What a juggernaught we are.

Good point, but those rankings scoreboard don’t lie .
If these rankings hold true we are in a world of hurting coming our way and being we can’t throw or catch .

And fix this in (2) weeks WHAT IN TARNATION do we do ???

GOCANES

Why are you throwing out the game against Central Connecticut last year but not the Bethune game this year?
