We just finished Top 5 nationally in yards per carry, never took losses, and converted everything for the #1 offense in America.Enough of these slow lumbering backs. Mallory is in the same mold.
Fletcher is average at best. He’ll never be a thousand yard back here.
We need speed and the ability to make guys miss.
Not good enough. We just finished Top 5 nationally in yards per carry, never took losses, and converted everything for the #1 offense in America.

i dont take em serious as this was the same group sh*tting on Damian Martinez throughout the szn lolWe just finished Top 5 nationally in yards per carry, never took losses, and converted everything for the #1 offense in America.
Teams respected our running game all year. In fact, the first half of the season they stacked the box.Correct. With the #1 pick, a sure fire NFL back, and a very good crew of experienced pass catchers with NFL futures that all contributed to light boxes given to us often in respect to our pass game.
Big and not fast is one thing. But you gotta be able to cut and break tackles or make people miss still. Martinez was a big back and not exactly a blazer at all either. But he has good feet and ACTUALLY breaks tackles. Thats what Fletcher lacks. Being big and not fast isn’t really all that big of a deal. I mean you can’t be like 4.7 speed. But 4.5-4.6 isn’t the end of the world.
you seen Derrick Cooper?.Correct. With the #1 pick, a sure fire NFL back, and a very good crew of experienced pass catchers with NFL futures that all contributed to light boxes given to us often in respect to our pass game. All of that combined won’t be the norm going forward, unfortunately.
If we want to continue that type of success, slow lumbering backs without QB’s that have Cam Ward level ability isn’t the formula.
We need to pair Mallory with a guy that can house it from 80 like Cooper, not a 11.7 back who has OV’s scheduled to Indiana (save the playoff team responses, Indiana gets 3rd rate talent) Rutgers and Boston College. This kid doesn’t appear to be a “bad” player by any means, but we NEED more explosive weapons on O.
JMO. I’m fully prepared for the “ImAgINe CrItIqUiNG tHiS StAfF aFTeR tHe OfFeNsE wE JuSt HaD” responses. Like any of that means anything for 2025 forward.
Cooper is exactly THAT guy. Gotta win that recruitmentyou seen Derrick Cooper?.
Uh I never said Martinez was slow. I said he wasn't a blazer, which he isn't. Also let's be real he ran that after cutting like 10+ pounds lol. No ******* chance this dude was playing at 217lbs imo. At his playing weight I'm guessing he was closer to mid to late 4.5s which again is not in any world FAST. Is it slow? I mean compared to Bhayshul Tuten yes. But my entire point is Martinez's speed is enough. You don't have to be a 4.4 guy. But if you're going to be big like that you want an eddie George, not like a slower Darren McFadden...
Damian Martinez hit a 4.51 thats not slow at all.
Fletcher will be the man again this year. Hes longer than Martinez and has went for 100 carries and over 5 yds a pop on those since being here. He has another level to get to especially considering this is his first actual spring practice.
I dont see the problem in the type of backs they are recruiting if they are a scheme fit. I mean i seen Cooper live and kid looks to be the goods...the picture of Ohlinger and Willis mcgahee side by side he appears to be the same size atleast. Cooper is a better back than Ehlinger though imo
You can't take Mallory and Ohlinger, unless you're also getting a pure stud on top like Cooper (so getting 3). Its not like we can't take 3. And if Fletcher leaves early like he honestly probably should even if only a 6th rounder or something, well we have basically no depth and like no size at Rb. So taking 3 Bigger backs isn't really a problem neccessarily, as long as one is Cooper. I mean I don't think we get 3 RBs this class, but if what D$ is saying is they view Ohlinger as a athlete that maybe can play LB too... I don't have a problem neccessarily. But then again I haven't watched his tape yet so...Correct. do you agree. because I dont. That's exactly what they want.
It’s false. The top two backs on the board are Derrek Cooper and Tradarian Ball, who are both track stars.do you agree. because I dont.
