Agree to disagree. IMO the NHL is the exception to this.

Theres a lot of people at ESPN, men and women as I mentioned, that don’t have an athletic bone in their body or much of any athletic accomplishments. Couple that with stupid takes and you get what outlets like ESPN have become.

She was wrong in her prediction that UM would not make the playoffs, much like Galloway. And then they go too far trying to prove that they were right and the committee was wrong. Both are also working too hard to be a story but that is what media has become. Not reporting the story, but trying to be the story.

IMO she isn’t worth our time. Either is Galloway.

If you were 11 or 12 in that ranking it meant you were the first 2 out and weren’t getting into the playoffs when you included the top ranked G5 conference winner and the ACC conference winner (which in this case went to another higher ranked G5 conference winner)

The truth is "the story" can be reported within half an hour. Here are the 12 teams. Here are the automatic qualifiers, here are the at large teams, and here is an interview with the committee chairman explaining how they decided on voting in those at large teams. Story over.

Instead, they are filling up 3 hours and trying to keep eyeballs watching them. So, ESPN gets a few people who espouse the opinion that Miami should be in, others that ND should be in. They argue their stances and viewers eat that crap up. Like you said, the analysis isn't worth anyone's time, but they know what maximizes eyeballs for the longest amount of time.

It's about more than that ONE three-hour show, though. She was the same way in various SportsCenter interviews well before the CFP show aired. She said similar things on various College GameDay shows well before the CFP show aired. And it was more of the same when she was on the weekly 30 minute CFP shows.

Yes, and that is her job. She is a pundit basically. Yes, she'll actually do some reporting from time to time, but for the most part, she's there to provide her opinion and stir the pot.
