But, seriously, as bad as he's played, this isn't "good" news

Not really IMO. Honestly, last year who thought Tyler Gauthier would be as good as he was? Last year we had the same thought process that are starter were below average and our backups must of have been worse. Gauthier came in for just a couple games was better then maybe every O-line we had with the exception of maybe Isdora. So who knows? Maybe Searles fortify the depth or can find another potential starter like he did Gauthier and I do get how unlikely that is but it not like Linder was a much better option because the others would either as bad as Linder or better them him.

Was Linder the guy in the infamous gif getting his booty took by the d-lineman from ND? If so, bout **** time

Some of the kids golden recruited are just afraid competition. He wanted the spot handed to him because he's a senior. Foh the best player will play

What a ****** ***** *** . Way to leave ya team hanging. Ol is the most physical hes one injury away from starting dumb ***

Losing experienced OL, regardless of what the resident experts will say, is a tough blow. We went in with 6 competing for 5 spots and now we are going to have to rely on freshman to contribute as key back ups. It also puts us somewhere around 72 scholarship players for this year. Kids are real pussies these days. I hate my generation

No the players miami recruited over the past decade, you don't hear of this type of turnover at other schools

We got absolutely killed this offseason losing players to unnecessary early draft declarations and transfers and the hits just keep on coming. This is ridiculous.

I like it.. those two bums aren't playing in the league.. Deuces.

So, on one hand some of y'all are saying this isn't good, but then also chastising Linder for quitting.

Uhh, you guys would want a Senior who would quit on his team literally just 26 days before the season, just because he wasn't guaranteed to start?

And did yall forget what you saw last year? He was absolutely terrible, he doesn't have the strength to play on the interior at Guard or Center.

This is addition by subtraction. You all think depth is just bodies, but in reality if your backups are terrible, then they're of no service to you.

Take the Folden glasses off for a second, look at this clearly, he lost his job to Gauthier & Gaynor.

This isn't politics or bull****, he competed & got beat, when he lost he quit on us. Congrats to Brandon for the big contract, but Nick ain't no Brandon.

Everyone will repeat the "if such & such goes down" line, but that's the case for every team in D1 Football.

At lot of transfers and early departures. They say it takes a new staff 3 years to get a roster the way they want it so I guess this is part of the process.
