He thinks Berrios is their only problem

I hope this is the week that Richards gets his head out of his ***. I know he's been banged up but he's had a ton of drops and a number of lazy routes too. Last week he had a route across the middle that he loafed like he was Lance Leggett and we didn't convert third down because the ball whizzed in front of him while he jogged at half speed.

Ahmon Richards is the heart of the offense and maybe the best wr in the country when healthy and playing with confidence.

Ahmon Richards is not the best receiver in the country. He had a great freshman season and has had a JAG sophomore season. We need to stop crowning guys who haven't earned it.

Richards has the most potential, but Berrios has shown out the most on the football field by a wide margin.

Berrios is our best WR. It's what it is.

i have never, NEVER seen a ****ier fanbase

and that's saying something after giving up 600 yards to wake and already losing

I wouldn’t look much at the yardage. They had the game won and most of those yards came against second and third team guys.

Also who cares what a bunch of message board fans think. I’m sure the coaches are well aware of all of our wide receivers.

******* Good. Spend all your efforts game-planning BB8. We'll just go to AR82, JT4, and Herndon after Homer runs it down their throats.

I hope they really are that stupid.

Also, what a **** ******* forum set up.

I swear you just listed every gun I want in 2035.

This game reminds me of the high octane WVU offense and how WVU was going to gouge our over aggressive defense. How their quick athletes on def was going to stop our O. I can see us putting up 600+ against them and beating them 38-17 and the last 7 come w/ like 2mins to play.

They arent a passing team like that, with the way they run the ball even when we shut that run down we wont have enough possessions to score 38. Getting an early lead is paramount. I see the game more being more like 24-14.

One poster on their 247 site said we don’t score more then 24, and they don’t score less then 30. I guess we will phucking see.

They’ll know all about us after they get their Azzes pulverized by us. Their O will be like a bait ball getting obliterated by a school of sharks! Our O will tee off on em.

Notre Dame is 90th in the nation in pass defense, 37th in QB rating against, 46th in sacks per game, 51st in tackles for loss.

They're going to have a lot more to worry about than just Berrios.

I know this isnt an exact science, but what was VT in those same categories?

Dee Jay is pretty freaky coming out of that backfield also, and Rosier can also run

I seriously hope we take the very soul out of this program. I hate nothing more than ND and their fan base. Don't worry though Miami is on par with wake in their minds. Aight then carry on

Berrios has by far the best matchup of any of the skill guys. If they overextend themselves to "shut him down" that will just open up the offense for everyone else.

There's no scenario where they roll the Canes by 2 TDs, but I'll save those thoughts for a full writeup.

Perhaps he thinks that those other guys are big play guys, and ND defense is already built to limit big plays. Whereas Berry is a move the chains guy, who if you take away, our offense stalls. He might have a bit of a point especially with our struggles in the redzone, if our big play guys don't take it to the house.

If our big play guys break tackles(Hendon, Homer), or make guys miss(Thomas, AR) then its a moot point.

His name is Berrios, not Berry. And Herndon, AR82, Homer, and even Langham and Thomas have shown instances of being move the chains guys. Also, Malik is a move the chains guy with his legs.

After playing us VT is:

14th in passing yards per game
9th in passer rating against
11th in tackles for loss
41st in sacks per game

He's dealing with a leg injury, what do you expect?

We have many weapons. Too many to key on Berrios who will get catches anyway. We have been saving some stuff IMO and I don't mean the Berrios pass which I hope to never see again. Herndon,Langham,DJ,Hardy,Cager all capable threats off the radar. Key is OL (always) and our DT's must hold fast letting Chad+JOE do what few do better. We miss Willis as the competition gets better make no mistake. Moten has kind of disappeared lately. ND is a revenge game nothing more. Coastal was the goal so everything else is bonus

Needless to say they were probably better than that before playing us. This game is very winnable. But we have to put it together like we did last week, better if possible since the turnovers should be eliminated or reduced, and clean up the unnecessary flags. Would've beat VT by 21-25 if we kick the field goal in the red zone in the 1Q or punch it in for the score. Plus, we're going to get the best version of the domers since it's a rivalry game with their CFP appearance facing elimination.
