He didn’t have a great training camp

Ok so you want him to be "half truly honest / half coach speak." I agree that would better and is a fair ask. But realize what you are asking.
I realize exactly what I wrote. I don’t think it’s complicated. I don’t live in an Ivory Tower. Just because you can’t always say everything on your mind doesn’t mean the right answer is denial. If manny thinks that is the choice set, he’s mistaken. Leaders have to find the message and deliver it carefully. Hence the big bucks.

Totally fair, dont disagree with what you're saying. My point was more general, go listen to any coach, CEO, politician, etc. getting tough questions. They aren't going to be 100% honest and will spin the truth. It is what it is so you cant always take every word someone says so literal. That's all

Either way, i think we can both agree Manny needs to step his game up and GO CANES

Yep. I am not aiming for transparency. But leaders have to be able to communicate effeftively.

if anything, Manny more than most, because he’s a brash isht talker. He showed up with his #TNM and swag and standard of excellence talk and said there was an infection we had to eradicate or some such isht. If he’s going to talk like that, then he cannot hide when the results are not what he implied. makes it sound like perhaps he’s just a talker more than taking it all seriously.

Well said. All talk no walk so far

Trait of dumb coaches = playing dudes based solely on how they perform in practice and how fast they can recite the playbook back to you. What's the point of being in the right place and knowing all the calls when you still cant make a play (Patchan and others)

SAY IT AGAIN 🤬😤

Snakes oil salesman, it’s like that South Park episode where people where ****ting out of their mouths. This dude has been our most dominate defender all year yet we play a backup tightend and keep him on the bench.

Ultimately, the buck stops with the HC. That’s why they get paid the big bucks. However, in my experience the position coach is the one who is responsible for feeding the HC the info about his position players. In other words, Manny is hearing from Coach Stroud, “Patchan just knows his assignments coach, GR just doesn’t seem to have it down, but boy, that Patchan really understands what we’re trying to do coach. He really plays within the defense!” Now, I’m sure there is an role for a guy like Patchan. He can probably be a solid role player. However, you play your dude’s if you want to win, and by all accounts GR is that dude. I also am a little tired of the slick coach speak. All MD needs to say is, “GR is a fantastic player that is clearly a standout. You’re going to continue to see him shine because he deserves an opportunity to be the starter.” I like MD, and I’ll continue to support him. However, at times he reminds me a little if Al Golden and that makes me want to vomit.

Diaz is not the guy for the UM gig...I don't like his attitude toward recruits, don't like his say one thing do another thing antics. He lies too much for my liken and he talks to media and fans like we are dumb and don't know **** about football. I was upset at the hire but just accepted it as being better than still having Richt here. Im not sold on coach speak, so he can go to he11 with all that BS. He hires an incompetent staff of friends. He looks clueless and dumbfounded on the sidelines, not having a idea how to make in-game adjustments. He follows with pressers that make you wonder wtf was he looking at for 3hrs on the field and "im the smartest guy in the room, so why are you questioning my moves"

Just reading some of this complete bull**** from this phan base makes me wonder how come none of you that know it all and have all the recruiting and personnel answers are'nt coaching at the U. You muthaphukcas got all the answers how come you ain't sent in a resume???
I'm already living the life. I'm a male gigolo with a stable of ladies paying for my attention.

In one of the preseason interviews Stroud talks about how close he’s become to the Patchan Family. I knew we were f*cked the second I heard it.
stroud is a disappointment and seems to be a quick fill in for Jess. And he’s clearly showing favoritism to patchen hence the “ how close he’s gotten with the patchen family” has a player I had to much pride to kiss a coaches *** or let my parents kiss *** for that matter. If I started I wanted it to be on my own merit not because I or my parents mind ucked the coach.
