So, what do the chicken bones tell us TODAY with HC Mario after Ls?

Let's take a quasi "deeper dive" on a matter that might (ok might not be) relevant.

Lots of variables in play here with the only constant being Mario. New staff for the most part, new roster, different conference opponents, etc. The UNC game will be a real test of Mario’s meddle and that of the staff and team.

A very telling theme stands out over his D1P5 HC data...

He has proven to suffer a share of big upset losses season after season.

This isn't me being anti-Mario, although he is making it easier and easier. It's me being pro-data, themes, amd trends.

You forgot one important detail. The only reason he lost to Utah, twice, and badly, was to make sure he'd be hired by Miami. What a brilliant plan that was.



At least that's how some here looked at it. ;)
 
What I thought last year was how his team literally only improved their Utah loss by 3 points. Everyone here wanted to excuse away the loss because we were in his ear. Utah was made to be some worldbeater and there was all kinds of talk how they would destroy Florida this year. Fast forward and we're yet another team of his underperforming which is all I can say of that Oregon team last year.

I called this out before we hired him...every season he has a bone headed loss.
The reason he was my #3 and not 1
