Have you ever considered that we aren’t bad as we think?

Thread takeaways:
1) Since 2014 there are apparently 23 reasons that the pain I feel watching Canes football could be an inverted hemorrhoid causing internal testicular torsion unrelated to the gross ineptitude occurring on the field.
2) During that same time frame, in the "runs with missed blocking assignments category" Alabama was categorically destroyed by Miami en route to their 3 national championships and 6 conference championships as Miami rode their 92% blocking assignment success to a 1-7 bowl record culminating in the Russell Athletic Bowl championship.

Hoo-ra.

Lol we use to compete for and win championships man now its are we really that bad
Going to the ACC has been the home of perfect mediocrity for us. Sh*t there have been years Disneysports(ESPN) and the ACC have been begging us…. Giving us the benefit of the doubt for a crappy loss or two and we’ve managed NADA. Curse Fuddruckers and the lazyness he let seep through the program after the team leaders carried us to two championships. Then the fossilized state Donna kept our program until she god willing left for greener pastures. We are still catching up to top tier programs on the facilities.

In bold this chart says "Not a resume/accomplishment ranking". So yeah, if you ignore all of the actual football being played on the field and our lack of accomplishments, we're doing great

Weird stat. None of the playoff teams are in the top 29. ****, we're tied with Georgia lol
I’m very curious how they made this list. Did they watch every single running play of every single team last year? Also did they know the play call and blocking assignments for every single play? What exactly is considered a “blown blocking assignment”? Is it when a guy totally whiffs and blocks nobody? Or how about when he blocks the correct guy but just gets shoved backwards?

PFF has zero effing idea for a lot of reasons, and most of them you mentioned

It's not one thing, as I have said before. It's generally been a different primary thing each year, with the underlining issue of lack of investment by the school counterbalancing the reputation that Miami had form its glory years.

  • Underlying issue(s): linebacker, offensive line and defensive back recruiting

2021 (Blue Chip Ratio 53%):
  • Defensive philosophy
  • Underlying issue(s): linebacker, offensive line and defensive back recruiting

2022 (Blue Chip Ratio 54%):

That said, I could probably do the same thing with Texas - a program with all the advantages and all of the funding. In the 2010s, Miami had a better record than they did.

I do think we are better than we think, or what our record showed last year. Last year, all the bad things that could happen did. It was a season from ****! Hopefully this year we get some positive things happen and some luck. They say when you play with skill good luck can happen! But what the **** is your post talking about, OP?!!
