I cannot remember in my decades of watching football a first down being reviewed and overturned after being called a first down on the field. What prompted them to review it, did I miss something?

It was a bad overturn. Even the announcers and their reply guy said it should be left as a first down.

The game was getting away from Ohio State. They were the better team, but weren’t being allowed to be great because of the plays Miami was making. The universe had no problem with the reversal.

Man we have had some atrocious missed holding calls over the years and last night they missed some really obvious ones but what they did last night saying there was conclusive evidence Beck was short might just be the worst call I have seen.

You know it's bad when folks on the Hokie board were saying the officials were ******** us on that call.

If anything the ball was maybe 2" short and then the ball was re-spotted a full yard behind the first down marker.

It was hard to keep the tinfoil hat down for that one. Same with the JS extended push and PI on their fresh. Or the egregious holds and even worse, hands to the face at least 3 obvious times.

Nonetheless, OSU fans have their tinfoil hat on for the Mali offsides and aTm for the no call on OJ on the sideline.

Maybe the officials just generally suck.

Mine never leaves. I was watching the game with three buckeyes and when that call was made I told them not to worry this game will go down to the wire.
