Hate looking back but

Willis gets double teamed on every snap & gets into the backfield regardless. He might be playing his way into the 1st round. Forget about Norton & McIntosh. Willis + any of our other DTs is a more disruptive combination because of Willis.

Yeah, looks like it's working out better for the program long run. As well as using it as acautionary tale for others having smoke blown up their a$$.

Facts, more discipline in the run game too so far

I don’t think Ariz influenced them with any ill will or that he was sleezy. I think he genuinely thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room, and I think he really thought they would be drafted higher. He was just dumb, hopefully he’s learned a thing or two with the added experience

You nailed it with the bolded part... Maybe you wouldn't call it "sleezy," but definitely arrogant and selfish, which to me is about the same.

Ariz has no shot at being a successful agent...he thinks and speaks wayyyy too slow

I could be wrong but it seems like a knowledgeable agent would encourage a player to stay in college on the theory he could make a lot more money off said player being a higher draft pick the following year. If so Ariz was dumber than the players

I don’t understand either. I guess it is they are worried that the player will pick another agent in a year. Also if they don’t make it the agent doesn’t care as they move onto the ones that do. They must be going on volume rather than giving them good attention

Would you really want to have someone back who didn’t stay because “they were afraid of double teams” that’s that Beta mentality especially if they would have been playing next to Gerald willis

Uh, yes. This defense would be a **** of a lot better with two returning starters. Those two, plus Willis would be a huge upgrade.

Young McIntosh can kick ******* rocks too. Either commit now or we are moving on. Don’t give that family a chance to ***** us twice.

Norton lost a lot of bread because of his stupid decision to leave. Listening to bad advice can cost you. Him and Willis would have been an elite combo. They both eat next year. Oh, well...

He is a pure nose tackle prospect...and not even a good one. I mean, Norton probably wasn't going much higher in retrospect. The NFL just doesn't value these guys very high in the first place, and outside of a few that will sprinkle into the 3rd round or so...most of them just drop down the board late into Day 3 on draft day at this point. Players like Norton, in today's NFL have maybe one roster spot saved for them because they are a specialist and/or one down player.

McIntosh is the one that really lost out on a lot of money and draft capital by leaving. He would be considered of the best DTs in the country coming back despite his flaws. Beyond his current injury status that has seemingly lingered since he's been here...he was just not physically developed enough to jump to the pros. McIntosh and Willis on the inside change our defense. Those two together would give Miami the best interior pass rush in the nation and they balance out the rotation with Bethel going into a versatile reserve role and making the grunts like Tito into real reserve and specialist roles.

I hope they enjoy their paychecks at least.

A bad agent would prefer getting 7th round money today than to risk losing a 1st round draft pick to another agent next year.

What kind of ****** hires this guy as their agent?

He was hired for his connections to the S. FL kids. He did a great job getting plugged into these kids for recruiting news whether they went to UM or not. Like I said, I don’t blame him for parlaying that but he’s being used by whatever agency. It’s business. On the flip side, he will need to produce or he will be on the outs as well. Again, pure business.
I never liked his ****y attitude and smugness.
I just hope Richt sees the pawn that he now is and keeps him on the outs.

Pete was a TMZ gossip columnist who cared way more about promoting street agent agendas than the actual program.

His actual football knowlege was that of the average female.

I learned from Furmans board and then Canesinsider that “insiders” dont exist. User named “cvette” proved it to us all. This site is for venting, discussing the team, killing time. If you are here for some inside secret info, you are a fool. Ariz is just one of many losers that continue to use 16-22 year old kids to promote their own agenda.
