Haskins Commits to Miami!

For a kid his size he sure can move. Great get by this staff. I can get used to winning these recruiting battles as we've been recently. Gonna give LBs nightmares.

I like that Stanford's ex TE/T coach now at OL coach at WVU was recruiting him. He coached Coby Fleener (2nd round pick) Zach Ertz (2nd round pick) and Levine Toilolo (4th round pick) at Stanford. They were all similar in stature to Haskins and were under the radar 3 star types that became NFLers. Hopefully that becomes his trajectory.

Next Warlord let's go

Way...way...waaaaaaayyyyy better feet than Clive

LOL. Here we go.

Wayyyyyyyy better than a third round pick and starting NFL tight end.

Kid looks average to me. I liked Hinson better.

Without fail, guys like jerzeycane will crown every recruit that commits to Miami. Everybody we recruit is always better than our guys who ended up being extremely productive and starting in the NFL.

aight

Some decent throws mixed in there.

Is he definitely a TE in college? 'Cos they were all projecting Newton as a TE...

The first thing I will say about Haskins is that he's huge. He hit a growth spurt between his junior and senior years, which bumped him up a level as a prospect. Big frame, big mitts, big legs, just a big football player.

He's also a highly coordinated athlete- he played QB, he returned kicks, he was the punter, and he was also an All-Area basketball player. People will talk about his speed, but they said similar things about Clive Walford. My biggest concern is level of competition. Some guys really blossom when they face better athletes (Njoku) and others crumble (Kiy Hester and Beau Sandland). We will learn a lot in camp.

But the real story to me is the recruiting job by Coach Hartley. Haskins was sold on WVU and Hartley worked to flip him. Pretty impressive for a green coach. And Richt remains dominant on his in-home visits.

eh, mediocre offer list, not that high on him

What don't you like?

Top end leaves a bit to be desired and he already seems a bit more developed physically than I prefer prospects of that ilk, but from one video I watched of him in one on ones, he's got massive hands, really good feet and long arms. His length is gonna be a problem.

DMoney ..... Hester (was going to play) and Sandland werent Redshirted...Clive and Njoku was..i think a redshirt year for him would be great. ...

he's a better prospect then Clive was coming out. But Clive developed extremely well on the next level, time will tell.

They ****ed look at the 247 wvu mod lol

Checking into it, but the only response I'm getting out of Morgantown is "shocked."

Haskins will be redshirted we're doing just fine at TE no need to waste a year of him not playing.

Now if this was the good old days, this dude would show up and his locker would be with the DEs, and dudes like Davis would be teaching him the position to go with that great frame and athleticism and he'd be a terror.

I'd love to see Richt/Diaz do the same, especially since Coach Kool is the best in the business IMO.
