HASKINS AND MURRAY.....

Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock & Kyler Murray will be very good QB's in the NFL imo.

But the disrespect of Haskins from people who cover the draft is both typical & sad. The kid was historic throwing for 4,831yds 50TD's 8INT's at 70%cmp.

He's a pure pocket passer with a great arm & is as equally as accurate as Baker Mayfield was at Oklahoma.

Imo I'd take Haskins, Lock & Murray over Mayfield, Darnold & Allen from last year's draft.

Drew Lock has special arm talent, in the right offensive system he could have a really bright future in the league.
My problem with Haskins is that he looses his balance wayyyy too much and completely ***** up on the footwork because he believes on his arm a lot. In college thats fine because Ohio State's recievers are almost always open but in the NFL its dangerous.

Meyer QB's outside of Alex Smith have done nothing in the NFL.

This guy wasn’t your typical urban myer QB-power/zone read guys. He’s more of Adam Days passing spread attack. Can’t really compare those others to him. Frankly none of them have the arm talent and anticipation that he has. Just like he’s not the running threat they were.

Literally stopped reading after da first sentence.
Been watching the history of the U football. the problem was never at the QB position. Its simply the staff that could not deliver. Talent was always there. you tube since 9 am. unreal, how the program went south. Look at the old tapes with Dorsey, no offensive of line, no championships.

On one hand I am not confident in either one but on the other hand the rules are always slanting towards offenses that I would not be surprised to see either one of them become stars.

I am hoping if my Giants pick up one of them they develop under Eli for a season then take the reigns like Mahomes did at KC flawlessly.

I understand. My post,,,,,, in a way lights up certain folks. Im afraid to post things that I may think that are offensive. Just for a joke. Just like our offensive line. Folks just dont get it. take care.

I understand he's not a Cane just pointing out that I think he's different than RG3. Wilson is the same type of athlete and doesn't take a lot of huge hits either. In this day and age the QB needs to know how/when to get down or out of bounds.
If someone gets him in second round, he is good deal. Any hirer than that and it is just to create excitement in fans for a few weeks.

  1. Kyler
  2. Haskins
  3. Lock
First and foremost, LMAO at some folk in here saying they're not drafting any of them in the 1st.

If Kyler was 6'1 there would be no doubts about his game. He is a very special talent. Competitive.

Haskins is inexperienced but man is he accurate. The concerns I have are pocket presence, mobility, and throwing velocity. He does everything else you'd like to see.

Lock does something good then two things bad. His Bama tape is so polarizing; one second he's surveying the field and delivering a strike in the end-zone yet the next he's throwing a pick. Not a fan of his mobility, or lack there of, either. QB1 for you? @Liberty City El

. Only person close or better is brees Now kyler is listed 5’9/5”10....brees is listed 6”0/6”1...Russell is listed 5”11/6”0 will that full inch make that much of a difference, we’ll see.

Just so there's no confusion...

Tale of the tape:

...................................Height...................Weight.............Hand................. Arm

Russell WIlson:
..5-10 5/8...................... 202................10 1/4......................31

Kyler Murray:
.....5-10 1/8.......................207..................9 1/2.......................28 1/2

were good QBS in college football but not NFL material. I hope they make it to the next level but not impressed with their stature. The Media have to sell a product but the creek has gone dry for this yrs NFL draft . we will see but not excited for the time being. Miami Hurricanes need to recruit real pocket passers like the good old days. I remember when the U was the elite University for pocket passers. Coach Diaz wants to get back on track. good offensive line and a good qb at the helm equals championships. A well balanced offense. Miami needs to focus on the Tight ends, I hate to say it but, the Patriots are the perfect example of that. Sometimes very boring but the results are there.

Pocket passers do not win anymore in CFB unless u get a Trevor Lawrence and there will not be another one of those for the next 5 - 10 years. This type of ignorant old school way of thinking is the reason why we ran an offensive scheme from the 80's last year. There is a reason why Bama moved towards recruiting dual-threat QBs.

sorry to disappoint. the Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys are still utilizing that concept. Pocket passers are not dead . Foundations are what we built on. Ignorant, dont think so. its plain and simplistic football. thanks for your input.

For one, Dak is not a pocket passer. He is a pass first dual-threat QB. Secondly, I said nothing about the NFL. I said pocket passers are dead in CFB unless u land a generational talent like Trevor Lawrence that comes around every 5-10 years. Also Cam Newton really began the era of dual-threat QBs and shower u can win a national championship with one. It's only a matter of time before dual-threat QBs are the majority in the NFL. But hey, thanks for your input though.

You are trying to sell a product. I am not buying this fine Knight. thanks for trying anyway. the core of a perfect well tune machine is common sense. Go look at the old tapes on our great football dynasty. A well balanced offense results in winning championships. Alabama finally woke up, they finally realised that we can recruit a throwing qb and take advantage of the speedy wide receivers. Alabama were very slow to figure it out. Since then, they have dominated.

Thanks for proving my point. Alabama woke up and recruited dual-threat QBs. Blake Sims, Hurts, Tua, and next up is Tua's brother. That will be a decade of not having a pocket passer. This debate is pointless, u clearly know nothing about football. Going back decades to "watch tapes" would be useless bc the game is totally different today. U can keep the CMR way of thinking. I'll stick with the innovative Manny way of thinking.

\iI totally understand, im with you on that. Miami created a path for other teams. My point was just saying that our team needs to just go back to basics. I invite anything that can improve the team. its all good, but im an old fashion type that what works in the past will work in the present.
