Has the program turned a corner?

Let’s talk later in the year. Once Miami entered conference play last year they were in battles against Va Tech, Cal, Louisville, Ga Tech, and Cuse. Could have easily lost 4 of those.

The defense does look a lot better and aside from 2 picks, Beck has stepped in nicely for Ward.

The floor of the program is back to 10 wins… a feat we’ve only accomplished 2 times since 2004 which is amazing

Mario though wants nattys and for us to be back… still plenty of years left for this team but tonight they definitely were wanting to punch USF in the mouth

Was hoping Heatherman could give us a boost in a similar way that Dawson did when he took over for Gattis

So far so good. The front 7 has some weaknesses especially with depth but they are playing some inspired football
Agreed. But I'd say guys like Chase Smith, and Pickett did pretty well today and earned some confidence. Need them all to keep coming along.

7 touchdowns (I think). Two interceptions but the second was a mistake by Toney. I’ll take that.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but I do already love this team. We got some areas of concern... things to clean up. But I'll just say this team feels different from last year's& leave it at that.

I believe this program has turned a corner. How many times were we going into a game like this and eeked a win out or lost. Toledo under Richt, App St under Manny, MTSU under Mario. Thumping a team we are supposed to is a hurdle for this program. Doesn’t mean it’s a straight shot to real success. More corners are coming, not laying an egg with the season on the line, bowl game, etc. But this is corner one imo.

We definitely are starting to "look" like we turned the corner and when I say that I mean physically. We have the athletes all over the defense, the quarterback is experienced and the offensive line is downright professional.

That said, I think USF was a bit fradulent, especially defensively, and I still wonder if we have the weapons outside to beat Top 10-15 defenses.

mario just mentioned in the postgame presser that they saw lightning in the forecast and "practiced" having a delay in the days leading up to the game- what they'd do, how they'd keep players loose, nutrition, etc. don't know if that's standard operating procedure for these big programs at this point, maybe so, but i found it impressive.

Yeah He did the same last year, or the year before I think, He has a protocol for it

Sure seems like we're on the way to a sustained winner, and that Mario has proven last year wasn't a one off just because of Ward. Doesn't mean we'll win it all, but the floor has been raised signifanctly.

I believe.

Check back after Florida and fSu.

ND is good but not thy good and USF really isn’t that good.

This honestly feels like the Miami teams of the start of the 1990s.
