Has anyone heard from Mario since Saturday?

This is the problem. This "Torch the farm at the first sign of adversity, and then wonder why things never grow". 4 games in. FOUR. I get people being ****ed with Diaz, that was a lazy hire, conducted by an incompetent AD. It had a high failure probability, so people were out on him almost immediately. Compare that to the leadership in place now. Let Rad and Mario do their **** jobs. Let Mario have a chance to work with this team, we knew this wasn't going to be fixed overnight.
Using a 1940’s leather helmet scheme isn’t doing his job or working with the team. He’s already blown that as far as I’m concerned. If after the buy week it’s not tooled to fit what we have currently the pitch forks will be out & rightfully so. I don’t expect us to be great but I expect us to be well coached. So far that hasn’t been near the case.

I think there are some miserable mongoloidian rejects who just want to complain and they can suffer but there’s a sizable group here in the majority that’s irked on principle. Like accountability and character and doing as you say not just preach.

That said, I could care less what he says. I don’t hear his words anymore when he speaks. I will only hear what I see on the field until and or if it’s fixed. But I get the people who have an issue on principle like you, @TimeBum , @Ispyin , @Cribby , @SWFLHurricane
No no no we’re just mopes or something lol

Yeah, it’s debatable but the way we lost and to the team we lost to at home - for me that’s why I feel that way but regardless, those other losses are bad too.

Losing to a coach who should be in the college FB HOF? Yeah, it shouldn't happen given the on-paper talent difference, but Diaz was a brand new HC and he got taken to school. Also, we later learned that Jarren Williams was a stoner who couldn't give two ****s about watching film or preparing. And Butch didn't go on local media to emasculate UM after the W. MTSU actually was merciful to UM by not dropping a 50 burger, which it could have easily done. Now their HC is absolutely clowning UM and Cristobal.

Even if UM has lost its respectability because of how bad its been, we've all been fed the story that Mario is respected in coaching circles. You'd think that if Mario was actually respected, a coach would say some coach-speak like "we played a good team but we just executed exceptionally well and won the game." **** even Mack Brown tried to show Manny Diaz more respect after games than the MTSU coach is showing Cristobal. Not a good look.

If I’m Mario I think my message to the team would be pretty simple

The UNC game will tell me who will be playing the rest of the season and who will not be here next year

If a player isn’t embarrassed by that game and doesn’t take it personally to step up, then he won’t be part of the future
If Mario lets Gattis run out the same scheme that he ran the first 4 games, NC is gonna boat race us.

Instead of being worried about who will play hard and secure their spot for the future, he should be concentrating on running a simpler scheme that puts our athletes in space and gives them less to think about.

I guarantee you that if he keeps on running this fossil of an offense a lot of players will transfer after the season of their own volition. No one wants to play in this Stone Age offense.

This is in the same part of the book as the saying, "the cover up is worse than the crime. " Many times things will just go away if you say "I messed up and I'm accountable." but when it's clear to every observer that you are hiding the truth, it makes things worse.

All Mario had to do was answer a few softball questions from Joe Rose. He wasn't sitting across from Jim Rome who's going to call him "Crissy" the entire interview. Fans on message boards could then spend all week debating whether Mario understands the problems or if his coach speak is just hiding the fact that things have gotten out of hand. But to not show up as scheduled for no reason besides "I'm sulking and I don't want to talk about the game"? That's throwing gasoline on the dumpster fire.

You can do both though

I want the coaches to show me something and the players, scheme or no scheme they should be embarrassed

When you lose a game like that, everyone needs to step up

I think the FIU game felt and feels so painful because it was like getting beat up by your little brother

Not the one you grew up with, but the accident little brother that is like 14 years younger than you

I agree 100%. You know Mario dressed down the players. For $8 Million a year, he ought to at least be man enough to take and respond to criticism thrown his way. Ray Charles could have seen that the Canes had a horrible game plan and played like they simply didn’t give a f*#k. They had their NIL $, it was a hot day, there was no crowd there, so who cares? I am a Mario supporter, but he has to be a man, take the heat, admit when he screws up royally, and not sulk up like a spoiled brat and go home.

He tucked his tail in between his legs and hasn’t been seen or heard from since September 24th after suffering the programs most embarassing loss to date. He’s making it abundantly clear that his slogan only applies when **** hasn’t started to hit the fan

Mind you he’s already pulling this crap in game 4 of his tenure 😶

This is the point that people who are talking about how Mario needs time to get his guys in are missing entirely. That excuse is fine when we lose to Bama or Clemson or even to a similarly talented team whose staff has been in place.

We are never EVER EVER supposed to lose that MTSU game. Period. This was the worst loss we’ve had in my lifetime IMO. Talent wasn’t the issue. It was pure wretched coaching above all else… with Gattis running the offense he was hired by Mario to run.
This worse than fiu?

I agree
What’s so wrong with just saying I ***ed up
But if he doesn’t sit tvd
That sends a bad message
Curious to see if he holds everyone accountable

I don’t agree with everyone entirely on TVD. If he’s running the scheme we should be running, TVD should have been fine. If they’re running this crap then Garcia is better suited for it. He’ll maybe Jacurri for that matter.

Worst loss in lifetime is tough.

That *** whooping in our last game of the orange bowl was really hard.

Not scoring at all against La Tech

And of course the FIU loss...
Worst was the Florida A&M loss, they weren’t even a div1 school. But this is close, surpassing all due to the nature of the loss.
