**Brevin Jordan says high..will Mallory says wadup.

Fact is Hartley was a good coach and recruiter. Deep down ppl on this board know it to be true. With or without bags he can get it done. Our fans just got carried away with the blaming and bashing. Hartley didn’t deserve none of that

Once the buzz from the program left he swung and missed just like the rest of him. His tenure as special teams coach was atrocious. If we didn't get a touchback, a return seemingly was always one missed block from going a long way. He couldn't find a way to make one punter average in two years? They eventually went to rugby style punting after a year and a half of fail from Feagles. I don't know how you can say anything about how good of a TE coach he is. The TEs caught bubble screens primarily and weren't particularly good blockers. He's part of an offensive staff that produced one of the worst Power 5 offenses in football and his coordination of special teams was terrible. He didn't have to go but there is no compelling argument to keep him when his biggest accomplishment was snagging two TEs.

We shall see Hartley was a good cruiter and TE was solid. Special Teams was bad due to P can we blame Hartley for.shanked.punts by legacy??

If he’s the Special Teams coach and it happens over and over and over, yes we can.

Also, our kick returns were trash, we kept putting DJ back to return punts and kicks, our punt unit couldn’t block, we rarely blocked any kicks against teams that mattered...so I’d say hartley was a dazzling mediocrity of a coach, to be honest.

Also, Mallory came here for Richt, as I recall.

They just watched Clemson show the world how to beat Bama and they decide "nah coaching is overrated. We just need to recruit better"

If it's true, UGA boosters will be wondering why they even started a bag game just to go 9-3 again

Lol people are complaining about hiring Applesauce & UgA is letting ¡Dale! Coley caRll plays

Man Todd Hartley got us EVERYONE from N. Fla. including Mallory , (also new commit Mamorelli, and he WAS THE LEAD for WR PAYTON second DJ Dallas did well with returning Punts so Did Thomas so if your argument is we Didn't block any kicks well ok maybe your right but AGAIN he didn't do a bad job.

When Richt was initially hired the old staff remained though most knew they would not be retained now we have no offensive coaches NONE and dead period is about to open up..

One punter so now we don't know that Feagles was a Legacy who bombed but that's on the ST Coach or is it the kid? Coach cant punt for you. Does he receive credit for Badgley then Baxa was 9/12 75% FGs is that a reflection of Hartley??

The most abysmal part of our ST is that they did NOTHING with proficiency.....everything was shaky, and it showed...it literally was a mess..
Everytime we got on the field, it was ....."well here we go, what next?"......shut it all down, go with the new kicker, and start the **** over..
As for T/E's......good talent is there, and needs developing, we have that in place.

Hartley is a very good recruiter. I think he's also a competent TE coach. He's probably the worst Special Teams coach I've every seen. And ST coaching is not something I often am compelled to pay much attention to but it was apparent during his entire time as our ST coordinator. And before you say it, the ST issues went well beyond bad punting

I was hoping he was the one that Manny kept to have a little continuity in recruiting.I thought he did a great job with the TE not so much with the ST...Hoping the new OC sees his value and brings him back

Coley is a garbage OC. Bad move on there part. They can get all the recruiters they want. Theyl never win without good coaching. Clemson just took down a team that had more 5 stars. While Clemson gets there share, its not on par with Bama. Clemson won with better coaching.

If Coley is really getting the OC position at UGA, get ready for the Bulldogs to lead the nation in opening possession scoring. Only to go three and out every possession for the rest of the game.

Still wrong. The Specials were ATROCIOUS the last 3 years, and any argument otherwise is in bad faith.

Not knocking the dominate recruiting approach but at some point, coaching matters. (See: Clemson-Bama)

I would not recommend the Miami abysmal coaching/recruits approach..

These short-sighted recruiting-obsessed moves are really funny. Then, 2 years later with a bunch of 'spose-to-be superstars, people complain they don't look as good and "why can't we beat X team" when we land on close to equal playing field. Modern football has shown us it's a clear blend of Xs and Os and Jimmies and Joes and yet people seemingly still want to focus almost entirely on the players.
