Imagine the sound at full capacity...If I had a small kiddo, I'd bring the ear muffs to protect them just in case.

I agree. If you are attending with kids, please bring ear plugs.
I was in the OB upper deck west corner for the ND night game (88 or 89??) and it was so loud. The person seated next to me had brought his 9 year old daughter who was crying most of the game because her ears were hurting from the noise.

SO parents take the advice and bring some ear plugs if you can. This place could be worse with half the crowd.

The only way the stadium will be loud is if our fans show up and make it loud, just sayin. Who cares if it's FAMU, pack that place!

Field Length:
Rock- 135 yards
Husky- 138 yards

Field width:
Rock- 90 yards
Husky- 81 yards, narrows to 74 yards in end zones.

Stadium width (to furthest seats):
Rock- 218 yards
Husky- 282 yards

Stadium length (to furthest seats):
Rock- 246 yards
Husky- 250 yards


Canopy/Roof opening:
Rock- 90 yards wide x 135 yards long, same size as field
Husky- 175 yards wide (open on sides)

The rock is actually smaller than Huskie Stadium.
The roof opening in the Rock is much narrower as well.

But there is nowhere for the sound to escape at the ends at the Rock. Not only will the sides reflect sound, but so will the endzones. It's going to get very, very loud in there.

Don't know about you, but my kids can't hear me when I talk anyway. I'd never notice if they had any hearing loss.

We will find out how loud it is when FAMU's band starts playing and the sound is bouncing all over the place.

I'm a US Marine and I'm required to wear ear plugs when I shoot or do daily work to protect my hearing (I still don't wear them but that's not the point). Nothing pssy about protecting yourself or kids from hearing loss.

LoL, I've got 4,000 hours flying AC-130s and I wore earplugs. Had to pull them out sometimes because there was so much chatter with multiple radios going on simultaneously that I couldn't pick it up especially with troops in contact. My hearing is all f'd up in my right ear.
 
I say ***** the little ********.

Leave the plugs at home.

It'll toughen them up. A little bleeding out of the ear never killed anybody.

I know your point but the feasibility of an on-campus stadium would still have been nil if Ross had decided to burn down Joe Robbie instead of pump money into it.

I'm a US Living Legend, and it's enormously pvssy to wear earplugs at a football game. Put earplugs in a kid's ears at a football game, and you might as well stick a buttplug in his tail too.

Yes, that was my point.
Only 7,000 less seats than Huskie Stadium. Smaller in size, and more enclosed.
