HRS' new overhang incorporates design elements from some of the premier soccer stadiums around the world. No surprise when you look at future scheduled events, numerous elite soccer clubs are coming to HRS to play exihibitions.
The new overhang isn't just going to keep noise inside the stadium, it was designed to focus crowd noise directly on to the playing field. If they designed/built it correctly, it will create an atmosphere where a smaller crowd of 30K-40K can sound like a much larger audience.
Imagine the sound at full capacity...If I had a small kiddo, I'd bring the ear muffs to protect them just in case.
I agree. If you are attending with kids, please bring ear plugs.
I was in the OB upper deck west corner for the ND night game (88 or 89??) and it was so loud. The person seated next to me had brought his 9 year old daughter who was crying most of the game because her ears were hurting from the noise.
SO parents take the advice and bring some ear plugs if you can. This place could be worse with half the crowd.
