I'm not exactly a "respect your elders" guy. Respect everyone who deserves respect. But I'll listen to people who have been on this earth a lot longer than I have more than I'll listen to those who haven't been as long as me.

If you want to stay in the states, you could do a lot worse than somewhere in the Keys. For me, can't do the heat. I'm guessing you'd want to seek that out. I lived in FL for 20 years and mostly hate the place, but Miami and the Keys are great.
 
I can tell ya this we gonna retire on some water rather a nice lake in Tennessee or we like Gulf Shores Alabama whatever it is just a dream to retire on the water
