.... I'm guessing the game would've been cancelled. We can debate what that actually would've meant in relation to our season but let's focus on what's really important....thoughts and prayers to all the Star Wars dorks headed to (or not) Orlando this weekend.

OMG the swell at S. Beach could be all time. I'm talk 6 to 8 feet plus...
South Beach.....6-8 ft plus....lol...not in my 40 years of surfing have I seen it even close....6-8 foot plus South Beach is like 3 ft Haleiwa....Only thing I have ever seen close to real 6-8 foot plus was Pump House on the north side of the Reef Road Inlet in Palm Beach in 2012 during Hurricane Sandy and only because of the extreme north angle of the swell...

A lot more 2-3 foot windslop washing machine crap with 500 kooks out at Hangover Beach South Jetty than anything actually rideable in my extensive experience of "surfing" in South Florida.....

I always suspected you were Kelly Slater! I knew you grew up in Florida but good to know you're a Canes fan, bra!

May your swells always be mackin and never let the broheems forget that Florida surfing is actually more challenging than California because smaller waves require more technical skill!

Well if you've been surfing as long as you say you would know in FL we judge the waves by the face not the back. So YES 6-8 ft. has happened many times at S. Beach and I have the pics to prove it. I've been surfing in S. FL for 38 years so I think I know what I'm talking about.

This storm is turning south ya'll. European model is now saying Palm Beach and that has been the historically accurate forecast model.

So I guess the monsoon that some posteRs here were ****ting their britches over technically turned out to be true. Praise be!
