True, but what he has done is still impressive, and he took a disaster at the QB situation and made it work.
 
If Randy Shannon won two games the year before, we'd be calling Golden a God too.
 
Auburn had just won the national title a few years ago and top recruiting classes according to scout.

Auburn in 2009 # 16 2010 #6 2011 #2 2012 #8 2013 #14 2014 # 14 so far
Canes in 2009 # 24 2010 # 14 2011 #41 2012 #9 2013 #20 2014 # 4 so far
Shannon Golden

Huge deference in 2011 which are probably your best players. 2009 red-shirt seniors, 2011 seniors who stuck around senior years and 2011 are the top players that will leave early to the NFL. 2012 sophomore and 2013 freshmen. Got killed in Shannon's last year. We got some play makers in 2012 in Golden's first year with Sanctions looming. 2014 is looking good.

No i'm saying it's all perspective. Obviously Shannon didn't leave Miami with a **** ton of talent like Gene did in Auburn (because they're the biggest cheaters in the SEC) so take that smart *** comment somewhere else.

No one is saying Golden inherited a better team. Golden clearly had the more difficult job. What people are saying is that good coaching can turn a program around and get positive results faster than expected. Thats what Malzahn has done.

Golden wasn't expected to turn Miami around in year one or two or even year three. But he **** sure could and should have won the coastal in year 3. Poor coaching prevented that.

Auburn is lucky, as you need luck to win championships. They were still in a position at the end of both of those games to win, Gus Malzahn has done a great job this year!
 
Has Malzahn won the SEC yet? Not to mention it is year 2 at Auburn. At least get the facts correct in the OP. **** is embarrassing.
